Acoustic version of a song I wrote about 12 years ago.  I'm putting together an acoustic playlist, and wanted a version of this to add.

Manchester Rain (Acoustic)

A cover of the old classic.  I recorded it as I was trying to take my dog's mind off the fireworks outside, and started messing around on my guitar!  I think the dog likes it anyhow.

Losing My Religion

On the last instrumental bit is my first effort at the trumpet. Bloody difficult! Also in there is accordion, harmonica, 12 string acoustic guitar, six string acoustic, a banjo, and a bodhran. Drums were programmed in Riffworks, which was used as the sequencer / recorder. Mastered in Amadeus Lite.  It's a bit weird, but give it a chance!

This was the original which I wrote/recorded in 2001.  Still my favourite version.

Manchester Rain

This track was written and recorded in 2008 after a meeting in Culcheth, Cheshire.  Barry Cooper was not known to me, but a delegate at the meeting revealed that Barry Cooper is no longer with us.  DEAD, to emphasise the point, and to dispel the notion that he was just lying low.  Hope this serves as some kind of epithaph.
