Their heartfelt responses inspired the lyrics of this track, turning their collective wisdom into a melody that resonates with all of us.

Whether it's spending time with loved ones, enjoying a peaceful moment with a cup of coffee, or finding joy in solitude with your favorite records, this song captures the essence of those moments that bring us true contentment.

Already lived story

The original version of this song by The Infinity Chamber has an attractive and captivating Pink Floyd vibe to it. That beautiful, melancholic style is what drew me to the song from the beginning. The lyrics, both provocative and moving, still leave me wondering and imagining.

The song depicts a bedroom scene through the eyes of a man who starts to doubt his relationship, his life and life in general and tries to step away from it all. The brutally honest way in which this epiphany of gloom was put into words, generates unexpected sympathy and aversion at the same time. Once the sadness behind the lyrics sinks in, you are helplessly building sympathy for both characters in the scene and that final: “I went and got pissed”, doesn’t even sound mean anymore. It sounds like he deserves the relief.

I hope my version of it does the work justice.

This is a song about how we revisit old moments, and how they shift and change with every telling as they travel through the dust of time. The lyrics explore how nostalgia can be both comforting and deceptive, but ultimately they are about accepting the binding aspects of the past and letting go, whilst embracing the beauty of the human experience and finding solace in the present.
