Guilt dictated my mind state for 18 months. Circumstances beyond my control made me nostalgic for times I couldn’t possibly hope to recapture but that didn’t stop me from trying. I lost my sense of discovery, I stopped getting excited about the things I loved. Every day was a self-contained loop: anything in arm’s reach I could use to make me forget about the fact that it wasn’t 2015 anymore was all I needed. Even if it made the situation worse...I’ve always wanted to write this tape. I’ve been building up to this since I was 16 I finally have the skill to articulate it correctly. All it took was one question that constantly plagued me: “Will nostalgia be the death of me?”
