Exploring the haunting yet ever alluring temptation of evil, Cut To Black takes a hard hitting and groovy sound from the roots of alternative, garage, desert, and stoner rock and blends it with the body-moving grit and grunge of dirty dance-club sensibilities and electronics. Despite more classic influences, the band infuses their melodies and songwriting with hyper modern and unconventional hooks, always maintaining a laser focus on potent catchiness without compromising on a fierce level of charismatic attitude.

Guitarist Gordon Beck formed Cut To Black in 2018 after his time as a film student. The cinematic qualities of the band’s namesake have seeped their way into its sound while the group formed and reformed over multiple years. Beck’s own personal struggles and eventual therapeutic breakthroughs informed the band’s vision and direction, a vision centered on self reflection and growth leading to the discovery of meaning amidst a hopeless worldview.
