This was a collaboration of henwrench, who sang and played bass, and cuthbert who sang, played ukulele, acoustic guitar, and drumming-like stuff. We had a fab time!

Surprise! Another Beatles cover (well, John Lennon, post-Beatles, circa 1973). I've always loved this song, since late-1973, anyway.  My version was made with acoustic guitars, lap steel, Mellotron strings, and my own gravelly warbling - with love and due respect to Mr. L. 

Best listened to with headphones...

Here's a quickie I did for Songcrafters Fifties/OldSchoolStudio festivals. Just me singing and playing a TV Pal plastic uke from the 1950s into a Marantz PMD-221 cassette recorder, through its built-in microphone.

I was thinking of the recording Buddy Holly made of this song in his Manhattan apartment, just before the fateful Winter Dance Party Tour of 1959. RIP, Buddy Holly.

Here's my (very late) submission to Songcrafters' 50s R&R Fest: "Dizzy, Miss Lizzy", written by the late, great Larry Williams and released in 1958. First time I heard this song was a cover by the Beatles. So naturally, there's some Beatles influence here. Thanks for listening!

A cover of a cover on the 'Rainy Day' album, which came out in 1984. This is the first song I recorded with my new guitar (pictured). Recorded live, on mic as well as into the amp simulator (this was the 2nd take - that Ebmaj7 chord was a toughie :) ). I added one guitar overdub, and doubled the vocals later that afternoon.
