Acclaimed Dutch duo Tinlicker (Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven) have released their stirring new single ‘Be Here and Now’ on London based independent label Anjunadeep. The single release is accompanied by a music video directed by Julius Ponten and starring Dutch actor Werner Kolf (Wolf, Gangster, Vechtershart). 

A collaboration with vocalist Nathan Nicholson, who has previously worked with Claptone, Kiko Franco, and Hannah Wants, ‘Be Here and Now’ presents as a part ballad, part progressive house anthem. Featuring the ecstatic builds and strings that have become synonymous with Tinlicker’s hair-raising sound, the single invokes the emotions of looking back at what once was. On the single, vocalist Nathan Nicholson explains:

"When Tinlicker first sent me the instrumental for this song, long before they gave it rhythm, I fell in love with it - just piano and strings. It was very powerful and a lot of the lyrics and all of the melody came out on my first pass. The lyrics are about a longing for the past and the innocence of growing up. I lost my mom when I was eighteen and within a year moved from Tennessee to England, so my childhood into adulthood has a very strong line running in between. I'm in a constant war with nostalgia - the other life - and where I am right now. In this song I'm simply telling myself to have reverence for my past, but not to be beholden to it. A huge thanks to Tinlicker for asking me to be a part of it.”

‘Be Here and Now’ joins Tinlicker’s esteemed catalogue, which includes their 2019 album ‘This Is Not Out Universe’ which saw support from the likes of Pete Tong, Ben Malone at Kiss FM, SiriusXM Chill, 538 Dance Department, Slam!, and Sunshine Live, as well as prolific producers such as deadmau5, Gorgon City, Cassian, Eli & Fur, Lane 8, Dosem and Edu Imbernon. 

Having individually honed their skills as part of a world-renown drum and bass act Black Sun Empire (Heyboer), and as a producer, songwriter and music editor for many artists (Van Achthoven), Tinlicker has quickly become a household name in the world of electronic dance music. Their single ‘Because You Move Me’ is currently #20 on the German radio charts and has accrued over 100M Spotify streams, whilst their rework of Robert Miles recently hit Beatport #1.

With releases on labels such as Anjunadeep, mau5trap and Armada, their original collaborations with Ben Böhmer, Dosem, Lane 8, and remixes for deadmau5, James Zabiela and Reflekt have become indispensable ingredients for the world’s biggest radio and DJ shows. ‘Be Here and Now’ marks a new chapter for Tinlicker, hinting at exciting things to come.

Anjunadeep welcomes Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann to the label with his first standalone release ‘9 Days / Cranes’. He debuted on Anjunadeep in 2019, collaborating with Ben Böhmer and Malou on standout single ‘Breathing’ which has amassed over 25 million streams to date, and gained support on BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM and Sunshine Live.

One of the most exciting up-and-coming electronic artists, Nils has released on labels including Poesie Musik, Counter Records, Bitbird and Ton Töpferei, gaining support from tastemakers including Diplo, Bob Moses, Pete Tong and Kaskade.

First heard on flagship label compilation Anjunadeep 13, ‘9 Days’ features vocals from South African vocalist Julia Church. Julia is well known for her feature on Lane 8’s stunning track ‘Oh, Miles’ which has racked up over 15 million streams and gained support on SiriusXM and Kiss FM. ‘Cranes’ is a collaborative cut with Swiss producer and songwriter Natascha Polké, who’s recently released on This Never Happened and Definition:Music. Nils Hoffmann shares the next single, and title track, from his forthcoming album ‘Running In A Dream’. The single is a collaboration with Swedish producer Kasbo and features vocals from Australian singer-songwriter Vancouver Sleep Clinic.

Moulded by German electronic music culture and his own classical training, music has always been a part of Nils’ life. Embarking on his musical journey at the age of 16, Nils swiftly gained a wealth of experience to draw upon. To date, the 27-year-old producer has amassed over 120 million streams on his music catalogue and performed at renowned venues, including Printworks London, the Brooklyn Mirage, and The Gorge Amphitheatre.

Nils’ forthcoming album, Running In A Dream, follows the release of his sophomore album, A Radiant Sign, which launched on Anjunadeep last year. The album achieved remarkable feats, amassing an impressive 24 million streams to date and gaining radio support from leading platforms, including BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM Chill, and KCRW. This impressively collaborative track is representative of the ‘Running In A Dream’ album to which it lends its name. The LP features an illustrious array of collaborators including Australian singer-songwriter Vancouver Sleep Clinic, Swedish producer Kasbo, British singer-songwriter Rae Morris, Brisbane-based producer and vocalist The Kite String Tangle, and Australian musician Dustin Tebbutt.

In tandem with the album release, Nils is embarking on a live tour spanning North America and Europe, with performances in cities including London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, as well as appearing at select Anjunadeep label showcases, including Anjunadeep Open Air: Bali.
