Wonderwheel Recordings is proud to present a new single from recent signing Tremor, a Buenos Aries based trio that combine rhythms and sounds across South American genre borders with digital vibes and electronic music culture into a sound that has been dubbed “Digital Folklorico” by NPR.  Here on their debut single, “Huella” is a mystical affair rooted in the Andes with soaring vocals from singer Micaela Chaque, pounding drums, dubby synth squelches and deep echoing bass. Remixes come from Mexico City’s Frikstalkers who turn “Huella” into a dancefloor friendly chugging four to the floor dub “steppers” remix, and Folklorico wunderkind Chancha Via Circuto who ups the mysticism of the original with his understaded, nearly ambient refix on the tune. Also included is the instrumental and a bonus cut that will not be on the album, “Tarkas”.

First part of my set @ Taka Tuka Festival 2018 (Hungary).
Recording failed during the second part, but I felt like sharing this with you because it was an incredible experience to play again at this magical festival. I got to play the night after the full moon eclipse, a really powerful astral event that shook a lot of emotions inside our tiny community of ephimeral islanders. So I felt the need to play some empathetic vibrational music to heal the cosmic wounds...

"Ecstatic Dance en Mundo Maya"

We asked our wonderful friend @mandy-joha to record a special mix for us, inspired by her own culture. Mandy Joha is a Guatemalan multidisciplinary activist and artist who uses music and movement as a portal to enter our essence.

She organizes and performs Ecstatic Dance in her homeland. She sees it as a fun cathartic work through free dance which seeks to teach how to travel within ourselves and thus be able to inhabit our bodies (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and energetic). 

“Music is the portal that will accompany us to go through each of the rhythms of life, in a conscious and therapeutic way. Music helps us balance not only our emotions but also the meridians and organs of our physical body, that is why I use frequencies in my musical sessions that are scientifically approved for their healing effects. Aware that energy is vibration, I use sonotherapy, music therapy, music theory, binaural frequencies, activation of chakras, specific frequencies measured in hertz (hertz), creation of atmosphere as a tool to harmonize bodies.”

Live with her the experience of dancing your own rhythms. Break free. Live in the present. Love Dance and enjoy your universe!

Kosmic T - Obstacle Illusion

Curandera is inspired by the music of the world, especially those sounds of the Middle East, as a way of expressing the authentically organic and exploring her own feminine essence.

From an early age, María José Herrero developed in performing arts, dance, music and design. As a student at Glow Academy, she learned the techniques of singing and voice projection, as a means of natural expression.

In 2019, she joined DJLab where she began to deepen DJ techniques and music production, thus exploring that electronic sound that currently characterizes her.

Curandera creates a connection with us and with our environment through a playful, interactive, artistic and multidisciplinary expression. Her DJ Sets are in continuous transformation through the incorporation of her live voice along with instruments of ancestral roots.

"I imagine a comprehensive experience that makes cultural, social, spiritual and environmental issues visible through art, video and dance, in order to provide a vision that transcends the superficial."

Her voice can be seen in different collaborations with the ¨Reserva Fantasma¨ duo, particularly in her recent single ¨Ridera¨.
