Dramatic Title Crawl

My submission for the #DiscoveryCompetition by Orchestral Tools.

The brief: Compose a piece of music (between 45 seconds and two-minutes long) depicting the moment a new universe is discovered.

My scene: Exiting a wormhole and arriving at a vast new star system. An azure planet glistens in the light cast by its star, to the wide-eyed wonder of the starship crew. After all this time in the coldest reaches of empty space, they've finally arrived at what might just be their new home.

Today's theme for #7daysofVGM is "Celebration", both in terms of victory and for finalizing these 7 days of intensive composing!

I wanted this track to give the feeling of having overcome insurmountable odds and riding/flying into the sunset, free from whatever generic dark plot the villain of the week had in mind.

This was speed-written and arranged in about four  hours on November 19th/20th for day 7 of #7DaysofVGM November 2020 (theme: JRPGs)
