Fresh off the stage from Coachella 2014, Argentinian producer Pedro Canale aka Chancha Via Circuto fulfills his long-awaited return “Coplita” – the debut single and 7” from his new album after 2010’s Rio Arriba, which was hailed by the New York Times, Pitchfork, the Washington Post and named amongst the top ten albums of the year by NPR and XLR8R among many others. 

“Coplita” ventures onto a well worn path through the mystical outer reaches of South America for longtime Chancha fans with it’s traditional folkloric rhythms blending into otherworldly electronic sounds and the vocals of longtime collaborator Miriam Garcia gently haunting the song.

Chancha’s new album Amansara will be released by Nickodemus’s Wonderwheel Recordings on CD, Double Vinyl and Digital in Late September 2014.

Chancha Via Circuito's new album "Amansara" is out on Sept 23rd through Wonderwheel (US + AUS/NZ), Crammed (EU) & Charcho (Latin America).


Argentian producer Pedro Canale aka Chancha Via Circuito returns from a three-year sojourn with his long awaited third album, Amansara.  Originally coming out of Buenos Aires's famed digital cumbia scene, Chancha has notoriously broken way outside those boundaries to forge unprecedented mergers between Brazilian rhythms, Paraguayan harp, Andean mysticism and the solitude of Argentinian folklore - all processed through his own futuristic style of post-dubstep.  Chancha's sound is without question truly unique and instantly recognizable to the point he has become a key reference point for an entire crop of artists that have begun to carry his genes. 

Hailed by the Washington Post, the New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR and countless others, Chancha Via Circuito defies even the shrewdest of marketing geniuses.  On one hand, he is something of a cult artist within micro-circles of electronic music, having been invited to perform at Montreal's MUTEK as well as the Roskilde and Vive Latino Festivals. At the same time, Chancha's music has found broad appeal outside of the avant-garde, most notably his magnificent remix of José Larralde's "Quimey Neuquén" which was heavily featured in 2013 as part of the final season of the critically acclaimed television series Breaking Bad. Fans of the show undoubtedly remember Walter White burying his millions in the desert, soundtracked by the wide and gentle grooves of Chancha Via Circuito.

Amansara is a natural progressing of Chancha's special strain of electronic South America. Lead single "Coplita" features the haunting vocals of previous collaborator Miram Garcia, while "Sueno En Paraguay" merges Andean folklore sounds with bleeps and blips and pounding drums in a way that sounds completely natural and ordained. "Jardines" features the driving vocals of Lido Pimienta merging with heavy synths, percussion and bells into an unforgettable track, while both "Tarocchi" and "Guajaca" ramp things up into deep, electronic dancefloor inna rainforest territory.

A work of intense and otherworldly black metal power injected with Mysticum’s strong cosmic, satanic and psychedelic overtones, ‘Planet Satan’ welcomes Mysticum to the new millennium with full & unrelenting force, whilst retaining the core elements which made the Norwegians pioneering legends of industrial black metal. 
Both infernal & nihilistic, as well as apocalyptic in its scope and execution, ‘Planet Satan’ is a new milestone for the genre in its sublime, chaotic ferocity. Primitive minor-chord riff patterns & tortured vocals mixed with the band’s manic and often unconventional programmed drum beats makes this an eerily hypnotic work of the darkest order.

The album was recorded & mixed at Fias Co. Studios with producer Sverre Dæhli, & mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Audio in Oslo.

Emerging in the early 1990's, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns & synths. They were originally (and briefly) signed to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band.

"After almost a year of secret collaboration, Anilah and Einar Kvitrafn Selvik (Wardruna, Gorgoroth, Vikings) have finally released a new collaboration entitled "Warrior". The 11 minute epic is a fusion of influences from both artists, ranging from the haunting and shamanic vocal invocations of Anilah, to the ancient tribal call of Einar's signature sound. The end result is a stirring composition, leaving the listener in another world all together. 

"Working on Anilah´s beautiful song "Warrior" has been an absolute pleasure for me. Due to my creative work with Wardruna being so time-consuming, it is very seldom that I can accept invitations to collaborate on other people’s projects. Created beyond the threshold of consciousness and inspired by ancient teachings of the Infernal metaphysical Qlippothic regions, ISRATHOUM is the compendium of misanthropic conspiracy, cold forged in disused mineshafts as sharp-edged bottomless Black Metal... The invisible spear... An obscure and limitless supernatural barrier... A weapon to His Will. ISRATHOUM was formed in Portugal in 1992 by the initial trio of Arvath, Arluth Dhu and VxInfr. During the next several years the band continues to evolve and shape, until finally assuming its current moniker in 1998, which also coincides with the band’s relocation to the Netherlands. In 2001 ISRATHOUM releases “Hatred (demo)” and, one year later, “The Art Of Malice” MCD sees the light of day. In 2004 “Black Scenery Avatar” is released. Several years later W.uR joins on guitars and with his help the band records “Monument Of Brimstone”, which eventually brings a contract with Spinefarm and the worldwide release of the album takes place in 2009. But, as the time passes things change, so the band decides to move on and seek new opportunities to spread its poison. And so, in 2011 ISRATHOUM inks a deal with Daemon Worship Productions for their second full-length album, entitled “Black Poison and Shared Wounds”. With its line-up reduced to a trio of Arvath, W.uR and VxInfr, the band is stronger than ever! At different points of their career sharing the stage with such entities as MARDUK, SECRETS OF THE MOON, HELHEIM, SOLSTAFIR, CODE, ZEMIAL, ALTAR OF PLAGUES and DESASTER, and featuring members of such bands as PERDITOR and AB IMO PECTORE among others, ISRATHOUM is prepared to take the world by force!

One of the pioneering industrial black metal forces to emerge in the early 90's, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of extreme & psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns & synths. They were originally signed to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band (Mysticum even featured Hellhammer from Mayhem in their line-up for a brief period). However, this venture proved to be cut short following his death, forcing Mysticum to look elsewhere for the release of their eventual debut album, 'In the Streams of Inferno', finally surfacing in 1996. 

A perfect concoction of cold, primitive black metal & forward-thinking ideas from an act unafraid to push boundaries, the hell of 'In the Streams of Inferno' has had a lasting & profound impact on many since 1996. For this release, the album has now had some extensive remastering work courtesy of Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Studios in Oslo to give a better representation of the sound the band initially intended, & includes 2 bonus songs. The packaging also contains new artwork made in close association with the band to fully reflect their intended vision, plus liner notes & additional lyrics. 

The CD/DVD edition of ‘In the Streams of Inferno’ also includes a bonus DVD containing two live shows from 1996. ‘Grotten’, in Asker, Norway has until now been totally unknown to the masses except for the few that were present at the show. The other show is the more well-known Bradford, UK set from Mysticum’s European tour with Marduk & Gehenna. Overall both gigs give a great glimpse into the pure atmosphere & intensity of this cult act, & a must for all fans.
