KUDA & THE CLUB HEADS' is Ase Manual's second release of 2024. This EP takes us on a whimsically dark, sultry yet funky journey. The Brooklyn based electronic artist Ase Manual is known for their captivating, soul-driven take on club music.

Through his elegant productions, heartfelt performances and influential sound coming out of his hometown Newark New Jersey, Ase has steadily delivered radical composition rooted in his musical upbringing and personal experiences. Repeatedly showing an ability to use their electronic works to not only light up dance floors but server as radically captivating bodies of work.

‘KUDA’ sees 7 tracks each as mysteriously inviting as the furry globe on the cover leads on to be. Intoxicating melodies, ass shaking drums and the Jersey Club chops we love from Ase Manual.

The scope of Ase’s art extends beyond solely the audio components of his work, handling all the art direction for his pieces. His distinct artistic aesthetics have also helped him step into scoring video campaigns and film. He provided sounds for a number of campaigns including Beyonce’s Ivy Park, Dapper Dan and King Combs for New Balance. Manual has also stepped to providing a new score for Jonah Lindstrom’s short film “Truth or Dare.” Other noteworthy collaborations include campaigns with Addias, Chromat and HBO.

Annekin:
Not fully sure why I didnt drop this one, its fuckin hard. I used to care so much about opinions and potential hate I would get it really disrupted my release pattern, and I ended up taking a 7 month hiatus to really lock down. Unintentionally but when I came back I realised instantly how much of an idiot I was.

Sassy Wip:
I was never comfortable enough with using my normal accent on the mic so I'd put on this really fake soundin London accent that sounded shit but I understand it was a process of becoming comfortable on the mic. It was only really a couple months back with the help of Anubis, Sika Deva and CK that I was able to break out of that putting on a persona and being unconditionally yourself when you jump on a mic. It's always the best option.

Time Off:

Now known as @djdownstem . Definitely one of my favourite producers. I remember after I made this track being so gassed cause I knew all the feedback twitch streamers were gonna rate it hahaha. I'm happy I did though this ones a banga. Lesson learned on not keeping tracks in the vault in the future and understanding that time can be on your side.

In the background, brilliant clouds of white ebb into the room, curling and twisting as it rises like the ocean mist. The light is pure, so bright it flares against the dark interior of an ancient tent. 

At every cardinal direction, six-winged cherubim hover just above eye level, wings brushing the flame without scorching. Their faces are turned inward, gazing at the burning figure with tenderness and awe. Thirty paces back, half hidden by the haze of incense and dust, the Ark of the Covenant waits, gold faces catching the firelight, the lid cracked open just enough to let one shaft of light shoot forward and illuminate the small crowd of watchers.
