“I was inspired by indie pop for this song, which is about moving on, getting back to yourself and reflecting on how far you have come. Life is full of moments and when you are in them those moments might not be so great in hindsight or those terrible moments might be the best thing that ever happened; a complete turn in your life, the making of you. I took inspiration from “Down” by Blink-182 for the chorus. This came together quickly, one of those exciting projects that flows. Thank you for listening.”

did that even happen?

Our thirty-seventh composition published on Soundcloud! We're starting to build up a small repertoire :-D. This one is a bit of a musical oxymoron, since I'd say it's prog punk or punk prog (in any sense you like :-)!), but there probably aren't more contradictory musical styles. We remember Johnny Rotten's "I hate Pink Floyd" T-shirt. This song is punk in its rhythm, vocals, and instrumentation, but prog in its structure, effects, and atmosphere at certain moments. We wonder "why are they burning the house down," which can be understood, among other things, as a metaphor for the harm our political leaders are doing to our democracies. We feel as fragile as "a paper airplane in the rain." And another superb original illustration by Aline!

BIO: I started writing songs in high school (1969-1973!) and I've pretty much never stopped. These are mostly solo recording projects (my brother, Fog City Fogey, contributes sometimes).  I don't do much self-promotion, not a fan of Repost Exchange etc, so all of you who find this page and like a song or two - you are truly appreciated!
