JANE IS A PROMINENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LATEST GENERATION OF KYIV’S DJS. IN THE LAST YEAR, SHE HAS COME TO PROMINENCE WITH HER VERSATILITY AND SELECTIONS THAT MELT TOGETHER DUBSTEP, JUNGLE, BREAKBEAT, GARAGE AND OTHER HEAVY BASS SOUNDS. JANE IS A RESIDENT OF GASOLINE RADIO AND THE POLYGON EVENT SERIES.

THE SERIES IS UPDATED ON A WEEKLY BASIS WITH RECORDINGS OF SETS THAT HAVE BEEN PLAYED IN OUR SPACE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE RUSSIAN FULL-SCALE INVASION OF UKRAINE. Recid is a longtime resident of ∄ who needs no introduction. He has provided us with many unforgettable Backyard moments. This set, however, is extra special as it was played during the first Backyard weekend since the full-scale invasion.

The series is updated on a weekly basis with recordings of sets that have been played in our space since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. A new set from the Before The Curfew series, performed by Raavel at Ground Floor on March 30th, is now available on our SoundCloud. Despite being constantly on the front lines, Raavel's still making music and gearing up for a new release. During a small break, he visited us to share the energy and thoughts that have accumulated over time. 

Raavel is a DJ, producer, and soldier who has been defending Ukraine since the first day of the full-scale invasion. During the war, Raavel released a vinyl EP "Insect Replicant" on DJ MELL G's "Juicy Gang Records" label, and the track "Wakalaka" was included in Helena Hauff's compilation from London's Fabric Records. 

Before the Curfew is a series of music podcasts that emerged in 2022 after the reopening of the club following the liberation of Kyiv. All recordings presented in this series take place before midnight, before the curfew begins. Before the Curfew offers a vibrant snapshot of the Ukrainian music scene amidst challenging times, celebrating resilience, creativity, and unity through music.

First up for ∄ 5th Anniversary Countdown is a vinyl techno set by Vitalii Shevchenko. Here, the artist reveals the lighter side of this genre, while remaining true to his unique style. 

Since starting his career in 2013, Vitalii has been a driving force in Kyiv’s underground scene and has been featured on labels like Krill Music, OBSCURA, Rudiment, SREZ, and VORTEX. His meticulousness and attention to detail make his music sophisticated. Meanwhile, the complexity of the resident's sound is the result of his sincere devotion to vinyl digging.
