2023 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the public as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the year. With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up! I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my personal favorite tracks from 2023. Basement Traxx 020 w/ C-YAN

Bit of a wacky mix this, but good fun as always! Managed to get my good mate C-yan in finally for our long overdue wavy 100bpm mix, which is becoming our standard at this point. The vibe we went for was Aquatic to reflect the rainy day sprinkled with a healthy amount of acid, Yushh (appropriate), Sean rocked up with several funk tunes, and pretty much whatever else we could get our hands on.

No es una novedad por aquí ya que estuvo con nosotros durante el “24 Hour Music People” del pasado Febrero, pero siempre es una maravilla tenerle de nuevo, más aún cuando está grabado y queda para el disfrute de todos.

A pesar de que es poco el material que se puede encontrar de él en internet, Borja lleva toda una vida ligada a la electrónica, de la pista de baile a las cabinas donde tras años de experiencias y lugares visitados disfruta como el primer día, desempeñándose con una técnica exquisita y un sonido envidiable al alcance de pocos.

Os dejamos un mix sutil que se engrandece a medida que transcurre la hora, lleno de sonidos profundos y delicados que navegan entre el minimal del principio hasta el trance que podemos encontrar en partes más contundentes con sonidos más ásperos, todo mezclado con sobrada habilidad.

Basement Traxx 033 w/ C-YAN

LF58 is the collaborative consciousness of techno maestro Neel and sonic explorer Filippo Scorcucchi. Initially beginning the project with a blissful release on Auxiliary, the duo has since gone on to release three legendary albums on Astral Industries. The modular synth masters are revered for their ability to sculpt sound into expansive, architectural forms, building entire worlds from celestial drones and intricate textures.

This mix is music for the deep cosmos of the mind; an ambient transmission designed to dissolve time and space. Patient and deep, the set serves as a soundtrack for drifting through the quiet solitude of space, floating in a sonic vessel built by two masters of atmosphere.
