St Petersburg's rising electronic star @djxvostik releases her new album "shadows at 3 am" on Roots United. Following her debut single "монстры в шкафу" late last year, xvostik continues to push the boundaries of electronic music. Her sound is inspired by Russian pop music of the late 90's, fused with UK influences of jungle, drum & bass and 2-step. This unique blend is evident in her previous releases, including the albums "кошки" and "Forest Eyes" on /ракурс/, singles on welofi and collaborations with Beatriz and System 108.

"shadows at 3 am" is the soundtrack for those long, cold nights when reality and the otherworldly intertwine, drawing the listener into an atmosphere of personal mystery that reflects inner fears and dreams.

The sound of "shadows at 3 am" offers a "cute" take on British electronic music with broken beats and hints of shoegaze, reimagined by xvostik through the lens of Gen Z. The eight tracks explore themes of nightmares, illusory love and loneliness.

Like a diary on the edge of reality and imagination, xvostik's vulnerable vocals, music and lyrics will resonate with anyone who has ever sought light in the darkness and felt its haunting reciprocity.
