as for this song,

i don't really know what the future will look or sound like, or if we'll be in space - but let's hope we still have dance music, and let's especially hope we have socialism too - or at least a system that more heavily regulates the capitalist system that exploits our world's most vulnerable.

on a more formal level, this song started as an outtake to an album i released in 2015. the intro to this song is all that (sort of) remains of that outtake. i wanted to find a song that would be a great start or end to my aforementioned mix - i think this song is more of a closer, though it would really need the right crowd mood and size to work...

it heavily uses the hsin or random or something LFO in ableton live's Operator, mostly to move a filter envelope. i did the same thing for the pad on 'news in 4k'. 

some of the song's aesthetic takes from the futurism in phantasy star online's OST (a true classic)
