Our next international guest goes by the moniker @doragray. A DJ and  vinyl collector from Finland part of The X-Rust Organization and an active member of the local scene of Turku since her teenage years. After buying turntables in 2006 Dora Gray was mostly into house and techno music, but right after, her taste evolved into more electro sounds and broken beats while growing a soft spot for acid. When it comes to mixing, she always strives to find harmonies so as to tell a compelling story through music, and that is what she has definitely done in this 42nd N2MU podcast. Enjoy it!

Foreign es el pseudónimo que utiliza Miguel Vázquez para desarrollar sets de sonidos IDM, avant-techno y electro, combinando en ellos la suavidad y eficacia de melodías transparentes con paisajes abstractos y ambientes densos cargados de complejas estructuras polirrítmicas.

A mediados del año 2001, Iván Marín y Miguel crean Silverside Collective con el objetivo de investigar y promover la música electrónica experimental. Sus comienzos están constituidos por la principal influencia de nombres como Autechre, Aphex Twin, Plaid, Funkstörung, Boards of Canada, Bola, etc.

Al mismo tiempo es cuando Miguel comienza a trabajar en la reconocida tienda de discos Recycled Music Center en Madrid, regentada por Yke.

A lo largo de estos años Foreign ha pinchado en varios eventos de Hard Taste, A.I. Series y en clubs como NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club, etc.

Bio & TL:

Chris Vocoder born Christian Preissing in the city of Schkeuditz in East Germany before the wall was fallen. First contact of Electro was Kraftwerks „We are the Robots“ in the 2nd grade without any clue what music it is but catched by the first time of the synthetic sound and robot voice.

The wall was fallen and he moved to West Germany and became influenced by the sound of any Electronic Music especially „The Prodigy“, which blew him away.
Dave Clarkes „Electro Boogie 2“ was the beginning to start collecting Electro Records. Fascinated  and reminds to the first contact. Now the baby have name: Electro! 
Mid 90´s to mid 00´s Chris join many Electro, Techno, D´n´B and 2Step Parties and took up the vibe.
The wish to make music came up. And the first music hardware was bought.
Chris processes social, historical, political and technical content. His style is Influenced by darkness of Techno, the groove of D´n´B and the soul of 2step. 

After several years of producing in his project studio Chris came in touch with Supreme.ja and got worth tips & tricks about production and sound design. 
Chris based now in Hamburg.

Our dear listeners, due to the fact that some artists and projects record entire live sets especially for our podcast, we decided to launch a new series - Strange But Dance Music Live. And the first project is Stuxpop! from Miami. This live jam-session was recorded by Lenny Foret, Deroboter, JohnnyC, JMPX, N/A.

The system, known as the Stuxpop, has been operating for three years, during which time the Stuxpop program has been broadcasting esoteric programming, visuals, and audio from its Miami base of operations. Originally configured to spread over network streaming links during pandemics, the Stuxpop is now conducting phase one human trials on the general public.

Para la entrega número 29 de la serie tenemos el placer de presentarles a @foreign-dj, pseudónimo que utiliza Miguel Vázquez para desarrollar sesiones de electro, IDM o avant-techno.

Al mismo tiempo es cuando Miguel comienza a trabajar en la reconocida tienda de discos Recycled Music Center en Madrid, regentada por Yke. Este periodo durará varios años y supondrá para él un profundo y notable aprendizaje dentro de todos los estilos de la música electrónica.

A lo largo de estos años Foreign ha pinchado en varios eventos de Hard Taste, A.I. Series y en clubs como NAO, Dub Club, Specka, Graffiti, Shagü Club, etc.

Miguel es también miembro de los sellos discográficos Artificial Intelligence y Zyrcadian Editions. Colabora activamente en la dirección de los mismos junto a su creador y director Luis Miguel Espinosa.
