Week 62 of BETAMAX invites producer, DJ and electro/techno enthusiast - Ben Worden aka FRANCOIS DILLINGER @fdbeardd

He glides between the two worlds of electro and techno. While he grew up an hour east of the Motor City, his musical roots were firmly planted in Detroit’s thriving late 90’s underground. His journey through the genres is dark while retaining a cerebral, dancefloor-oriented quality. This stems from the influences of Industrial, Detroit’s rich history of electro, minimal techno, and even Ghettotech. His Live & DJ sets lean heavily into the generation of hypnotic loops, creating long protracted mixes between elements to form an unshakeable tension.

He recently co-founded a new up-and-coming label, Infolines, managing their creative direction and operates the digital techno label, DONTDOIT, when he’s not focused on electro. The 2021 release calendar still holds two more LPs from DILLINGER – one via Specimen Records and the other a collab album with Cyphon & Obzerv via a new, TBA imprint.  Stay tuned for even more VAs and Eps as well as the launch of his new monthly show on Deep Space Radio coming in September.

The name Betamax stands for quality electronic music and analog warmth in micro/minimal/lo-fi/tech house/breakbeat and electro genres. The show itself is a mix series to represent groovy, funky, and rough sounds to show a more creative and experimental approach to dance music and @Play4n4.

Luis Fernando Parra a.k.a. Rec_Overflow es el primer artista que abre la serie de podcasts de Mutoscope Records. Su elección para abrir esta serie no es casual, al contrario, es totalmente premeditada, pues Rec_Overflow lleva desde mediados de los noventa siendo agente activo y una de las referencias principales de la escena electrónica underground.

En su sonido confluyen la experimentación electrónica cruda y profunda junto al hiphopismo más óscuro, pasajes melódicos insólitos e implacables y momentos de absoluta catarsis rítmica. El resultado que se produce en el oyente/espectador es un sonorismo onírico capaz de evocar un sinfín de imágenes que quedan perfectamente entrelazadas con la música que se escucha.

Todos los que hemos visto un directo de Rec_Overflow sabemos que durante su actuación muestra un dinamismo y una energía extraordinaria.

DVS NME is an Electro music producer/deejay and Post Punk enthusiast living in Colorado. 

He runs a daily blog called 'Dark Science Electro' which features news, live sets, guest mixes, upcoming shows, premieres as well as a weekly radio show on Intergalactic FM.

The weekly radio show has aired since 2010 and it currently broadcasts on Intergalactic FM, every Friday at 20:00 GMT.

Con la intención principal, y como no puede ser de otra manera, de escuchar musicón (y de hablarlo ya de paso que de radio se trata), "enfrentamos" o mejor dicho sumamos a estas dos circunstancias natales de los músicos que en el programa intervienen, y es que, y sin hacer mucho ruido, tanto Suecia como Italia se han convertido en cunas de música sobresaliente en muchas de las disciplinas en forma de sub-generos. Productores consagrados, otros más neófitos de ocupar tu tímpano, otros que se instalan en lo razonablemente y objetivamente majestusoso para siempre y sobre todo, y lo menos importante, Italianos o Suecos.

Poniendo ya la labia en la evaluación de esta década que se nos va, y que para siempre guardaremos en nuestro recuerdo como la mejor "so far" en cuanto a composiciones de secuenciador se refiere. Afortunada esta kely, ya que nació con ella y se empuja trampolinizada hacia la siguiente, bien enmusicada, y tan ilusionada por escuchar y racionalizarla a nuestra manera como el primer día.
