Week 67 of BETAMAX invites Producer, DJ, and music lover from Moscow, Russia - Andrey Sinitsin aka @Sin-it-sin 

Andrey started his musical journey as a drummer in a rock band. However, he has always been interested in experimenting with different genres, including electronic music. His interest in electronic music led him to dive deeper into the production realm of music creation and he began to understand how his favorite tracks were made. With this insight, he began writing music himself. He now mainly focuses on creating electro, techno, and IDM.

The name Betamax stands for quality electronic music and analog warmth in micro/minimal/lo-fi/tech house/breakbeat and electro genres. The show itself is a mix series to represent groovy, funky, and rough sounds to show a more creative and experimental approach to dance music and @Play4n4.

Swedish producer based in Gothenburg. This Swedish entity contributed to live, real and in circumstantial surroundings. Mr. Eargoggle has a huge impact on the electro scene. Grown up listening to the electro funk sound of Egyptian Lover and similar funkateers, Luke Eargoggle, aka Lukas Pettersson, now lives by the beach in Sweden where he makes music in peace. Luke maintains the record label Stilleben Records and released some of his ultra funky electro tracks through Dutch label Bunker Records, German label Kommando 6 and more.
Especially for our podcast, Luke recorded an exclusively vinyl set.

For the very first time, we travel to the Austrian capital to welcome on board the one and only Xenia Nanou a.k.a. POLYXENE (@xenianogravity). A Greek artist based in Vienna who started out in the music universe as a sound engineer and soon became a thorough digger in her early years, was part of the platform @femdex, has her own monthly show on Movement Radio, and, all in all, has paved her way in the electronic scene evolving into one of the best electro DJ’s in this day and age. Her sets are a powerful blend of electro, IDM, and breaks skilfully combined which might escalate into acid or even techno making dancers go completely crazy. And this podcast is no exception. Born in the Bahamas, 25% French American citizen has been mixing and scratching since 1997. Known for proper electro, he produces tracks, and runs the Kraftjerkz label played by DJs such as I-F, Helena Hauff, Danny Daze, Nina Kraviz, Solvent etc. He has had releases on Lost Soul Enterprises, Basement Floor, Hip Hop Slam, and La La Land. He is also touring turntablist for funk group, Tom Tom Club touring in such places as North America, Japan, UK, and Western Europe. His name has shared the credits with DJ Qbert, Shortkut, and DJ Quest on multiple compilations released by Bay Area label, Hip Hop Slam. He has also collaborated multiple times with Detroit's technobass pioneer, DJ Di'jital. In 1999 he produced an electrofunk megamix cassette distributed by Turntablelab and the famous Fat Beats NYC. On our way back to Madrid, we’re glad to welcome on board one of those tireless music activists on the national scene, Redwan Chakrani (@redwan). Like many of us, he embarked on the electronic universe as an eager clubber in his hometown Barcelona in the early 2000s and has not stopped loving music since then. Nowadays he’s one of the heads of Trauma (@trauma-collective), a collective and label focused on the most authentic versions of leftfield techno. Yet, on this occasion, he offers a top-of-the-line electro selection bringing classics and present-day tracks together, from a sentimental approach to a more mental one. Enjoy it!

You will listen interpretations inspired by movies: THX 1138 (by Transpac) and Blade Runner (by Scape One). This is our tribute as well to the talented Greek electronic music artist - Vangelis (RIP), who has written music for Blade Runner movie.
