Fresh off the back of a first Metalheadz appearance at the end of 2021 we're happy to announce the debut EP from Jaise.

Based in Western Australia, Jaise's production career is only just beginning but his involvement in drum and bass goes back more than 25 years. Intent on carving his own niche in the current landscape, Jaise strives to get the balance right, conveying light and dark tones throughout his music.

For his first 4-tracker Jaise does exactly that, drawing on elements of jazz and fusion for 'Backwards Step' whilst taking a heavy plunge into early 2000s themed darkness for 'The Client'. With all the key components laid bare, Jaise conjures up a superb debut EP brimming with elegance and natural ability.

Dispatch Recordings welcome back SD to the label for the "Nervous Jazz EP". Continuing his sonic exploration of jazz-fuelled breaks and traditional musicality, this EP captures a perfect fusion of modern drum and bass production techniques and classical jazz composition. 

'It is what it is' sets the tone for the EP as the light opening riff builds to a heavy bass drop that rolls throughout, complementing the repeating refrain.

The title track 'Nervous Jazz' is pure jazz junglism - a breakbeat-heavy epic that packs lethal edits and distorted bass as the tune twists and builds throughout - serious choppage. 

'Blurred' brings back the melody, contrasting bright keys and guitar riffs with its heavyweight bassline and crunched out bottom end. 

'Dry Martini' completes the EP in 70's Bond style, late-night cocktail bar meets cop chase getaway as the rolling drums and distinctive bass line drive the tune on. 

A welcome return to the label from this talented Italian producer, whose unique and individual sound keeps impressing.

Natural Forces returns to Dispatch Recordings for a 6 track EP full of his unique take on minimal funk. The ‘Fragments EP’ is Natural Forces at his best - each track is packed with soul and emotion, a deep, richness that runs throughout this exceptional release.

Title track ‘Fragments’ combines all of these elements perfectly, progressing through minimal rolling bass and emotive harmonics, setting the tone for the whole of EP. ‘Zero Hour’ is an experimental journey through tense and looming bass stabs, taking influence from the legendary Noisia for the track’s distinctive hook.  

The vocal throwbacks of ‘Motion’ continues the minimal soul and the pitch bent strings of ‘Submarine’ give a nod to the many influential early Goldie productions. ‘Sacred Ground’ is perhaps the most minimal track on the EP, making great use of frequency shifted mid bass and vocal cuts. 

‘Divine’ completes the EP with deep, musical emotion led by crisp drum work and nostalgic progression. Channelling another huge influence of his, this one is inspired by Natural Forces’ love of the classic Photek sound.

In just under 18 months cyberfunk has released 4 EP's featuring: Break, Xtrah, Mefjus, Current Value and Phentix to name a few all of which hit the No1 spot in beatport charts.  The overwhelming support we've received at our launch parties held all across Europe and throughout the UK at both club nights and festival stage takeovers has been incredible and truly humbling but above all else is the support we've received at our London events, we'd like to take this opportunity to send a huge shout to everyone who's been down to either perform or support us at any of our events and all the artists who have released music with us so far.

We've been working very hard on this project from the very start and feel now is the perfect time to release the first in our ‘Various Artist LP’ series. VA//LP001 features the likes of: Xtrah, Simple Technique, Phentix, Mzine & Scepticz, Lockjaw and more both known and unknown names. We are always happy to provide a platform for new, previously unheard of producers like Sedition who's impressive debut - 'Spirits' gives you an idea of what's to come on his first solo project, a very exciting new producer indeed!

This will be the last release from us for 2016 so we wanted to end on a high and what better way then 10 fresh tunes for the rekordbox hey?
