You’ve just spent months traversing the inter-galactical waters of space-time, and take the next exit toward a seemingly peaceful moon. Upon arrival, you set foot on the lunar surface and stretch your legs. It’s quiet. You take a look around, and aside from the occasional indigenous slug crawling around, you’re alone. With your anti-grav boots strapped on, you begin your inspection of the celestial body by bouncing across the surface, gaining more airtime with each leap and bound. Each impact creates subsonic ripples that reach further and further to the horizon. Unfortunately, you’ve awoken the previously dormant volcanoes that dot the landscape, and you’re forced to dip and dodge around the sporadic eruptions of radioactive sludge that illuminate the atmosphere. At this point you hope to just get back to your ship in one piece….

I decided to put this song third, even though it is my most recent work and most recent collaboration with my roommate, and good friend Raaket. We are stoked to put this out and can't wait to put it on some big speakers!!!!

Badlands w/ Raaket

I started this album over a year ago with the "Intro" track. When I was working on it I had the vision of it being something I would open my sets with. I could imagine it being an introduction to an album and that's what inspired me to put the whole ep together. From then I worked on a bunch of different ideas until everything slowly fell into place. All the tracks are completely original with vocals I recorded myself. For the 2nd track "The Music" I recorded myself, my wife, my sister and my mum on the vocals, each vocal has about 10 takes layered on top of each other as I really wanted to give it that full sound, almost as if its a crowd of people. I wrote the album in a way that if you listen to it in order it flows nicely from one song to the next, like one big journey. I hope you guys like it :)
