BU megamix (Fevrier 2018)

Really delving into the archive!  Parts 1 & 2 of The Mixbuster's musical anthology featuring some of the biggest pop tunes from the 80s and 90s. A machine gun style megamix which did see a limited white label release. The final section (Part 3) was recorded a few years later, with the idea to bring us through the 90s and beyond. On this version, snippets of it appear at the end (Madonna's Vogue for example) which was to tease the next edition.  Part 3 has never been released and sits on the shelf.

For the geeks: "Mostly mixed from vinyl 7"/12" originals on Technics SL1210 mk2s, a second-hand £50 Numark mixer, an Akai sampler with a 'MASSIVE' 12 seconds of sample time, with pitchshift and delay duties via a Zoom FX box.  Stuff from CD went in via a Technics SLP1200.  I'm possibly the only person on the planet to buy one of those bad boys!  The mix was recorded and spliced together on 1/4" reel to reel tape using my trusty old Revox B77 MK2 - one of the most cherished items in my studio today.  Tape was everywhere for 3 days solid!  I'd worked out every bit of this mix in my head months before recording and it went to tape virtually as I'd imagined it would! What a flipping saddo! :-)"
