As soon as I heard the news about Mac Miller's untimely passing I knew that I had to make this. This song has been one of my favorite song since about when it came out. I actually even tried to make an experimental down tempo thing with the main synth / keyboard line in the song earlier this year.

The first time I ever heard it I was in a shitty situation with people. However, when this song came on things somehow just chilled out a little bit. Ever since I could always go back to it to help me through good and bad times. The emotional depth of Mac's voice in this song is incredibly deep and always has a profound effect on me. I will admit tears were shed a few times I listened to this after he passed.

The main synth, keyboard line that is the main theme of the song always made me nostalgic, happy and some other feeling I cannot easily describe.

I'm just so happy I have the tools to make a tribute to one of my favorite voices in music. If you listen I hope you enjoy it - but don't forget to listen to the original !

Rest in peace Mac Miller - Hope where you went is much more dope than this place.
