SHXCXCHCXSH are undoubtable masters of vivid techno constructions, which are as heavy as they are refined. On the first hour of this premiere episode recorded at the Sound Of Stockholm festival, SHXCXCHCXSH sculpt a small self-sufficient world with dystopian and cinematic flow, which acts as a de-personalised journey across some unfamiliar, mysterious, yet inviting landscapes with dusty clouds settling upon the nocturnal terrains. No wonder that such sound needs its own platform to be showcased and elaborated upon. That is why Rösten is now born, a newly founded label established by the duo to realize their ever-evolving creative visions. 

While listening to the second hour by SSTROM recorded live at Tbsilisi’s superior KHIDI Club, you feel like touching some alien surfaces with utmost sensitiveness with surreal landscapes stretching out in your imagination. This is carefully crafted introvert music, yet having some elegant dancefloor appeal. Behind the SSTROM moniker hides a long-time activist of Sweden’s experimental techno scene. Having fallen in love with simple melodies and catchy arpeggios when being a member of bitpop/synth band Slagsmålsklubben, he transferred these sensibilities further into his other projects. SSTROM’s excellent 2016 debut for Semantica Records was an excellent exercise in lush aquatic techno with breezy and lush atmospheres.

A collection of previously unreleased material from video and film works as well as material available on vinyl only and the audio material accompanying the DEHN SORA “The Sensation Of Being One Of Them” Book/CD. This last work was made in collaboration with MUDH and featuring guest vocals by Kristoffer Rygg (ULVER). Also included is the track “Onverth Emh” from the split 10” vinyl with AMENRA, the track “Dehn Semteh” from the split 10” with INNERWOUD, the track “Severh Devrah” featuring SYNDROME from the Cyclic Law 10 Year Anniversary Label Sampler and previously available as video the track “Sahe Fernah” and the track “Ehiessieh” taken from the film score for the LOST AND FOUND documentary directed by William Lacalmontie.

Saahiwa is the pseudonym of Sophie Zahmurely. Focused on creating an engulfing atmosphere and creepy mood, the Georgian artist present a track filled with obscure sound layers, distant voices and field recordings, dark drones and ritualistic beats, with generous space to some melancholic melodies which fit perfectly the haunted and gloomy mood of the track.
