After years of refining his hybrid style, halfway between psytrance and metal, Valentin F. aka Cyclome is delighted to present his new EP entitled “Rift”! The result is a selection of four epic tracks that illustrate the gradual evolution of his taste for blending psytrance with: D'n'B, Hardcore, Breakcore, Progressive Metal... and many other musical styles. This EP places the listener at the center of an epic and eventful journey through the depths of earth and space. With complex rhythmic placements and multiple scales used, he leads us into his martial and intense dreamlike world. You're not ready !

Rift EP

Atomes Music is thrilled to present the new EP from French producer Cyclome : Various Chaos.

Various Chaos is a 19-minute composition divided into three chapters. Following in the footsteps of progressive rock albums, this EP contains numerous parts with varied atmospheres and a large number of syncopated rhythmic patterns. There are plenty of hardcore kicks, D'n'B snares and processed electric guitar samples mixed with traditional psytrance sounds. 

The composition features chromatic scales, creating a sense of madness that is both spatial and mysterious. The tormented atmospheres are mixed with more grandiloquent harmonies that encourage you to travel and dream. 

The many changes of atmosphere and rhythmic figures reflect Cyclome's deep attachment to his progressive rock and math-metal/djent influences: here, more than ever, the producer develops his hybrid style.

Various Chaos EP

Hello !

I hope this new style will seduce fans of psytrance, metal, neurofunk, crossbreed, orchestral ambiences...

My actual goal is to create a new vibe with syncopated world music style psytrance kick patterns. 
And setting all the other instruments on a non-linear rhythmic base, which gives a hybrid genre which I like very much with a dar psytrance kick/bass, a lot psytrance sound-design with hardcore kicks, DNB/Neurofunk like snares and, as usual, many electric guitar samples.

Asymetricks (preview)

This track combines cumbia/world music oriented kick patterns with low rolling bass psytrance, all sprinkled with hardcore kicks that follow the main kick rhythm, and chinas, in order to give desire to headbang ! 

For the happiness of your ears : saturated chords made with electric guitars, triturated electric guitar solos (harmonic minor scale or tone scale), and of course a certain amount of FX !
In order to keep some suspense until its release, I won't reveal the satanic polyrythmic prog rock psytrance outro... I hope you'll enjoy the fusion of genres ❤

So excited to be able to play this type of music in front of a motivated audience again !

Cumbiardcore (preview)

Here is a new unreleased extract straight from my tortured mind ! 

This is the first six minutes of a long 19 minutes composition, dating from early 2022.

This track alternates between space passages with progressive rock-like chords and moments of madness, with a lot of chromatic electric guitar riffs, well triturated in all directions. 

I really like the disturbed atmosphere that chromatisms generate, I'll try to use this kind of riff on new compositions, It gives a quite original dark atmosphere . 

I also spent a lot of time on the drums loops on this one, so that they follow the FX and guitars as well as possible.

Here is a new entieer track for your ears !

This composition has quite a few phases and oscillates between dramatic atmospheres with dissonant guitar riffs and more frenetic / ryhtmic passages that testify to my love for metal and world music.

I deeply enjoy composing this intense style of music, to generate strong emotions of dance and travel in the listener, and prove that it's possible to include musical story-telling in compositions categorized as extreme/intense, with lots of elements, sustained rhythms and breaks...  

I hope the auditive journey offered here will appeal to as many people as possible !

This composition symbolizes my love for the fusion of dnb/neurofunk and dark psytrance/hitech patterns. 

It takes its name from the number of strings on the guitar used for the samples, which I had just acquired when I composed this track.

Sometimes contemplative, sometimes dark chords mix with a steady rhythm section and psytrance/IDM FX, there are a lot of guitar samples up front to drive the track and make it rock'n'roll.

This composition is the introduction, the 1st in my new EP.

Entitled "Galaxy", it symbolizes the tumultuous take-off and voyage of a humanoid vessel sailing to the unexplored reaches of the galaxy.

It's the most dancefloor and psytrance-oriented track on the EP, packed with synth samples and electric guitars of all kinds : bends, tappings, chords... 

It aims to take the listener into a dreamlike universe. 

I love to end my sets on its grandiloquent guitar hero outro.

This composition is the 2nd track on my new EP.

Entitled Asteroid, it's the track with the most varied breaks and distinct parts. It symbolizes the crossing of an ailing spaceship through an asteroid field. The fusion with hardcore and DnB is clearer. You can find here saturated kicks and fat snares blend with a psytrance/hitech rhythmic base. The finale is grandiloquent but martial as usual.

This composition is the 3rd track on my new EP.

Entitled Odyssee, it symbolizes the richness and unpredictability of a journey to the edge of unexplored space. The introduction and outro bring the light, while the rest of the journey is extremely eventful and unpredictable.

After an introduction in the spirit of hi-tech/psytrance soaring, syncopated rhythms in the style of intense DnB or Cumbia mix with disturbing melodic ambiences. 

The fusion of genres is increasingly present.

This composition is the 4th track and conclusion of my new EP.

Entitled Void, it represents the end of the journey, a black void in the depths of space, associated with the black hole, the dark, the unknown, death...

Resolutely broken in structure and twice as short as the three previous tracks, this DnB-minded track features punchy rhythms reminiscent of my strong metal influences. These rhythms blend with mysterious, dark melodic atmospheres, generated by the abusive use of scales by tone, tone and a half.

It brings this new EP to a mystical, short and brutal close.

It's been a while since I've posted my sound experiments!

Here's an extract from a 34min (!) track-album, composed over the last two years when I've been going through a lot of changes in my life.

I'm thinking of cutting this giant composition into 5 or 6 tracks to make a full-fledged release, which I'll put out in the coming year with a label that's willing to take on my particular style, or as an indie.

This composition reflects my increasingly pronounced taste for blending syncopated world and bass music-style rhythms with oniric storytelling in the style of progressive rock and/or psytrance. 

The idea is to offer a voyage of deep atmospheres and frenetic rhythms conducive to unbridled dancing.

I hope you'll enjoy the aural journey and the fusion of genres on offer.

ADN Music presents the second episode of ADN Chronicles : the Horned God.

The Chronicles series present the annual label compilation gathering all our producers each time around a different mythological background. 
This year, we continue our explorations of ancient legends with the mysterious figure of the Celtic god Cernunnos, Lord of the Wild Things. He represents the biological cycle of nature, reflecting simultaneously life and death, the seeding and the decay, depicted by the ancients with the antlers of a stag, growing at spring and falling at autumn.

Cults of the Horned God can be traced back to Mesolithic era and is shared among many pre-Indo-European cultures. In fact, Cernunnos shows disturbing similarities with Pashupati, an old incarnation of Shiva as “Lord of the Cattle” still worshiped in Nepal. Just like the Vedic gods, Cernunnos is seating cross-legged and holds symbolic objects in his hands like the torque and the ram-headed snake. He’s also sometime depicted as a three-faced god, remembering once again Shiva.

The origins of the Celt people are uncertain, but the Kurgan theory, among others clues, gives a common root to Indian & European cultures. In these times of closed borders and fear of others, it is essential to remember that Humanity has always been made of migrations and mingling. 
This selection of ten tracks depicts this infinite story of birth & death, the perpetual movement allowing the continuity of Life. What else do we celebrate when we dance?

Cyclome navigates through atmospheres that are sometimes epic, intense and apocalyptic, sometimes melancholic and contemplative. His main goal is to create a bridge between several musical tendencies : dark psytrance, hitech, metal, bass music, neurofunk, crossbreed, hardcore, world music, orchestral ambiences...

His compositions are filled with various scales, melodies, non linear rhythmic patterns and triturated samples of electric guitar. It reflects a deep attachment to its progressive rock and metal infuences and its strong desire to synthesize its diverse musical influences within a special electronic music aesthetic.
