Homemade Dynamite - Lorde (Cyclops Triple J Remix competition entry )

This was a personal challenge.
Not only because it's the first cover we've attempted to produce but also because it's time I learn how to record, mix and master vocals. 
Rather than waste someone else's time through my trial and error process (no education in sound design/recording)I decided to sing Angus' parts myself.
I'm not tone deaf but I definitely don't have enough character in my voice to do this regularly but who knows, with some vocal lesson, plenty of practice and some commitment...

I feel like I've learnt so much with regards to vocal processing in the last 2 months it has taken to produce this cover.

It's a far more detailed Mix session now but I've forgone the quick mastering just to achieve a commercial volume - I'll do that properly once we have all the layers locked in.
Archie - gonna rebounce all your drums and bring in way more of the Room mics now that I've got better tools and knowledge, it'll make the snare decay into the stereo mix, giving the kit way more life and space.
