Knew, in its most sophisticated sense, is the state where a person had acquired and thoroughly understood information or beliefs that were justified, true, and integrated into their cognitive framework. This means that for someone to have truly known something, they must have had a belief that accurately reflected reality (truth), supported by sound reasoning or evidence (justification), and internalized in a way that they could recall and use this information when needed. It wasn't enough to just have information; it had to be correctly aligned with the facts and well-supported, forming a coherent part of the person's understanding and reasoning processes.
