Sweet 12b2

This was a school project for a course in Montreal.
There were not much rules, just 'create something that is a project'.
It's been a while (commenting 8 years late) but I remember I had this sheet of paper where I had drawn 4 or 5 (Can't remember) steps of something that I cannot name. It looked like, for exemples, rounded lines, then straight ones, then oriented like a wall, then...
I will try to find out because I honnestly always liked this piece very much.
Of course with the baby this sound like being born, but I feel it is also emerge, appear, arise, result, ensue, spring and other semantic siblings. Read more:

I made those by injecting the baby sound loop, into my guitar pedal VOX Tonelab (really crazy effects, but pretty round, there is a lamp 12AX7 inside and many analog effects) that I controlled with my hands for knobs, but also in the meantime with a Max/MSP patch that I build to take over ALL of the controls of the pedal. Check 'Sweet 12b2' commentary if you want info on that.
This is a few one-shots, that are then put together on a DAW.

Records from McNab's Island in Nova Scotia (Canada), at the end of a one month bike trip. Generously hosted by Anthony James. I didn't know anyone in Canada but in 900 miles I was hosted every night and people always kept real. So this is where I landed for 3-4 days before going back to Montreal and then France. I mean not just the place, but also the state of mind. I hope I could give you something of a far trip here.

McNabs Fireflies

A night jam with instruments made exclusively on PD, played with a sequencer made in PD, with no other modification than synthesis. I wasn't supposed to be out as early, but you can't control your creature... I also programmed a huge program setting and here I only loop on 1 pattern... I am very interested by your comments on my drums synthesis, and everything else as always. Thanks for listening. Composed at 5 AM, will it worst it tomorrow ?....
