Radio On Vacation With Daws

A DJ collective based in Tokyo consisting of 6 djs all born in the year 2000. They have a residency party at Mitsuki, one of Tokyo’s headlined clubs at the moment, which they invite one new guest from a variety of styles. Million Dollar Sounds creates a story consisting of each DJs personal music background into one set. At times they dive into the deep sounds and other times they build up to a moments of high energy. Recently Million Dollar Sounds have opened up for Young Marco’s Japan tour at the infamous club Enoshima OPPA-LA also playing at WOMB’s “ACID” and “WICKED” parties.

メンバー全員が2000 年生まれの東京を拠点とする6人組DJコレクティブ。
各々が様々な現場、広義的なジャンルでプレイ 。
2022年、道玄坂の「翠月」にて レギュラーパーティー Million Dollar をスタート。
地方からの招致など、 毎度様々なゲストを招いている。
1st Anniversary Partyでは、MOODMANとDr.Nishimuraをゲストに迎え、大いなる盛り上がりをみせたことも記憶に新しい。
最近ではYoung MarcoのJapanツアーの サポートなど、活動の場を広げている。

Making a debut into the world of releases on Axel Boman’s Studio Barnhus label, Wallace is known for his hard hitting left-field styles, sonically inspiring electronic music. He now releases on Bradley Zero’s esteemed Rhythm Section, and has recently played at some of the most revered venues and festivals, including Gottwood and Burning Man.

Back in 2015 I attended Labyrinth festival in Naeba. This recording is my love letter to that party. A collection of sounds inspired by a magical weekend in the Japanese mountains 💌🏔

I really wanted to try and capture a snapshot of the loopy, hypnotic, trippy energy of that moment; where time seems to momentarily cease & you find yourself completely immersed in sound.

私は"時間が一瞬止まり、気がつくと音に完全に浸かっているような"ルーピーで催眠術のようなトリッピーなエネルギーを表現したかった。

A staple of Naarm/Melbourne’s electronic music scene, DAWS is a favourite for bringing local and international sounds together as a DJ, and a producer of refreshing and intoxicating dance music.

DAWS is acclaimed for outstanding sets that highlight her finest talents, signalling an intimacy with the dancefloor along with a rich knowledge for dance music. With a devotion for classic and modern house music in her warmer sets during the daytime, she also drives her own distinctive sound at night through weaving in percussive gems, club edits, and high-energy techno. 

In Australia, she’s played the most prolific queer and underground electronic music parties including Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Beyond the Valley, Gaytimes, and Pitch Music and Arts. DAWS has had incredible sets as alongside international icons such as Octo Octa, Bambounou, Or:La, Carista, DJ Boring, and CC Disco. 2022 saw her introduction to Europe, gathering support from fans in clubs such as Corsica, Koko and Night Tales in London, as well as making new fans as an addition to ADE festival in Amsterdam. 


As a producer, DAWS has gained international attention for her original releases with support on NTS, Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1, Dublab, along with clips of her tracks being played across some of the hottest festival sets of the summer. Her debut EP was released in both physical and digital forms on UK-based house music mainstay Hot Haus Records in May 2023. The four track EP exudes euphoric feeling and energy to weave across dancefloors regardless of night or day, and is a glimpse of her impending impact and influence as a producer.

She also solidified her talent as a producer and DJ when she experimented with new sounds to produce her side project ADHD edits; a number of vibrant club ready edits and remixes of her favourite pop songs which all raised money for local charities. Since the release of her originals and edits, DAWS has continued to cultivate her sound and grow as an artist. 

DAWS is one of dance music’s most exciting upcoming talents, a passionate contributor to the electronic music production scene, and a DJ worth getting up for.
