You may recognize him from the influential collective Two-9 or the duo RetroSushi, but it’s time to throw away any prior expectations. Jace has always operated in his own lane—psychedelic, moody, Southern but universal. Now, after years of evolution, he returns with a powerful new chapter: a collaboration with DJ Drama and Gangsta Grillz, dropping 10/31.

This project is more than a mixtape—it’s a statement. The story of a kid who grew up on one side of town and what that feels like, what that sounds like. It's about repping that section loudly, proudly, and honestly. “It’s such a big part of my identity when you come from here. I want to share that with the world,” Jace says. That authenticity shows up in every song.

After coming up as part of Two-9 and making waves with The Jace Tape, this project marks a reintroduction. It's a long time coming—and a big look. No features. Just Jace. Fully in his element, fully in control.

While the focus is squarely on Jace, the tape also weaves in some standout collaborations behind the boards and behind the scenes. Actor Woody McClain (Power) taps into his musical side on “Wild Ones” and “Let It,” while Iceberg Beatz sets the tone on “Rocafella.” And of course, there's something special from longtime collaborator Stoop Lauren—keeping it all in the family.

Jace’s music is a mix of contradictions—gritty and vulnerable, trippy and grounded, emotional and raw. His early influences stretch from New York lyricism (Rakim, Pete Rock & CL Smooth) to punk energy (The Ramones), filtered through the melodic experimentation of artists like Kanye, Chance, and early Drake.

“I feel like I’m a combination of all the different subgenres people listen to right now,” Jace says. “I can do melodic, trap-related, emotional, autobiographical—everything people want.”
That versatility shines here. It’s the culmination of years finding his voice outside the group, and now, he’s using it louder than ever. This isn’t just music—it’s representation, it’s identity, and it’s freedom. Welcome to EASTSIDE JACE. No skips. No features. Just bars.
