For the debut release on my own new label IPSO with Kompakt Records, I wanted to try something different. The new label, IPSO is for me to invite a friend or a hero, - someone I admire musically to do a collaboration.
I’ve long been a fan of limiting myself in the studio. 
Sometimes working with less equipment brings out the best in you, so for the first release I figured it would be interesting to experiment with this. 
Inspired by the danish dogma films, I decided to make a rule. 
As I’m not one for overdoing things, the rule is very simple.
We are only allowed to use one instrument.
I reached out to my friend and all time hero Michael Mayer to do the first collab. 
Other than being co-founder of the mighty Kompakt records, and signing me in 2009, he is a genius in a dj Booth and a great producer. 
He has always been a great inspiration to me, so we agreed to start of my new Label with a bang. 
I set out the challenge, that Michael should choose the instrument. 
As I arrived in Cologne, Michael had chosen an old Yamaha Organ. Funny side note, is that it is actually Jörg Burgers organ. Jörg is actually quiet the legend himself, but that is another story. 
Michael and I spent 1 day in the studio, and we had a blast. 
The outcome is 2 great pieces of music that I'm very proud to share with you. RELEASE DIGITAL & VINYL - MAY 20

Over the past two decades Josh Wink has become aligned with some of the most top notch producers and DJs in the game. With classics such as 'Higher State of Consciousness' and 'Don’t Laugh' under his belt, a foundation of classics was laid for which Josh was able to build and build on. His own productions have seen him turn the art of taking a single idea and crafting it into a weighty rich and resonant masterpiece. The Philly native recently celebrated 21 years of his label Ovum Recordings, an imprint that has been a driving force since its inception, putting out tunes from the likes of Scuba, King Britt, DJ Pierre, Levon Vincent and Loco Dice to name a small few. His DJ sets are a mesmerising journey through a delectable blend of house and techno laced with funk and acidity and we’re treated to some of exactly that today. Premiere: Neverdogs - So Different (Mennie Remix)

Founders Leftwing & Kody present their Lost Summer Selection this month, bringing together a host of quality producers including Rich Wakely. Truth Be Told, Max Chapman and Raffa FL - that's not to mention Madtech, Hot Creations and Avotre producer Cera Alba, an artist that has risen to the fore of the scene in tandem with the ascent of the Lost family over the last two years. Alba made his mark then with an impressive breakout year and he hasn't since stopped to look around. His contribution to the latest Lost Records VA comes in the form of 'Jupiter' - a harrowing techno cut with little light!

When Tough Luck Records started the core was around a group of like minded people making music and sharing a love of techno. It’s been nearly 3 years slowly building the label and we now come to our 6th release, which is sure to spark intrigue.

It remains a passion project put together by a group of mates from London and Newcastle and this EP mysteriously showcases the talents of a group of artists currently exciting the underground.

Jonatön is a new name to the fold but not a new comer to the scene. He puts forward a confident debut EP for the label, showcasing a brand of grooving techno that we are sure to see more of. Vier uses power funk and broken, warped chords that sweep across the tracks soulful vocal sample. Our Debut Transmission today is Zerroah, it carries a straight forward techno hook with clinical production designed for dark dance floor moments.
