Stay Home Session March 2020 (Uptempo Closing Slot)

CYNKT is a 22 years old Utrecht based Techno DJ and producer. His style can be best defined as 'up tempo' and 'industrial'. His DJ sets contain tracks from various genres including Techno, Acid, Industrial, EBM, Oldschool Rave and Early Hardcore▫️

At the age of 17, he got sucked into the Techno scene after attending a Soenda Indoor event. After a while, he went to so many parties, that his love for the underground Techno scene increased exponentially. He didn't plan to start making music himself at all, but at an age of 18 he bought his very first DJ gear. For two successive years, he'd been mixing (almost) daily with friends in his small student room or at afterparties. Due to all the dancefloors that he'd experienced, the crave for a legitimate gig grew

CYNKT released his first EP called 'Exposure' in 2018. After the improvements he made, he played DJ sets at JACK Amsterdam, PKHS and at BASIS during their Nachtcollege Techno Special. Subsequently, the track on his EP (that's called 'Exposure' as well), was played by Paula Temple at Vault Sessions. If this wasn't enough, another track from his EP was played by Thomas P. Heckmann at Reaktor Events

In the last few years, he started defining his own style. Being inspired by artists like Stranger, Kobosil, Paula temple, Rebekah, Tommy Four Seven, and Remco Beekwilder, his sets tend to be fast and raw but are intermixed with long melodic breaks and contain lots of vocals. He aims to take his audience on a musical journey by playing old school Techno tracks from the '90s and 2000s, EBM, Rave, Industrial, Offbeat, Melodic Techno, and even Trance. His sound can best be described as raw, cutting edge Techno with euphoric influences

PREMIERE: CYNKT - The Final Frontier [COURTOISY01]

In times of #Corona people have to keep touching each other without really physically touching each other, by staying #connected in their hearts and minds. This is possible and necessary in order to strengthen the cohesion within the population and to show #solidarity among each other. Through small gestures of attention, helpfulness, encouragement, contact, encouraging words and especially #sharing #music, we can help each other to overcome this unprecedented state of emergency and to remain an #inclusive and #supportive #community.

Our goal is to create a new #opportunity for #DJs from all over the world to share their music without borders and stay #connected #digitally. Moreover the artists will share their personal opinion about the #quarantine situation, explain how it affects them and how they try to deal with it. 

Even if it is no longer possible for us to be together physically for an indefinite period of time and to live out our joy and love for music in #clubs and at #festivals, we can still #participate in each other’s lives through an online connection and stand this through together. Although states have #locked their #borders to each other, we shouldn’t create borders in our heads. Now is the time to get rid of all the borders in our minds and tear down the walls in our hearts -  we’re in this #together.

Our first guest on board is CYNKT, a 23 years old producer and DJ coming from Utrecht (NL).

Est ce cette date sombre - de notre histoire à tous - qui a scellé une relation toute particulière avec cet artiste ou tout simplement sa gentillesse, son sourire, sa carrure réconfortante et ses sets dévastateurs ? Nous ne saurons le dire.
