As nothing’s better than some straight bangin’ acid lines to start the new season, we’re thrilled to host a 1H live from @DICA-mkrksm for the 9th episode of our Podcast Series!

Based in Rennes and strongly influenced by the acid vibrations emerging from the other side of the Channel, it’s through Acid UK and flagship labels of this movement that DICA finds the first impulse to create his own music. Quickly surrounded by an analogical arsenal, we find him a few years later with an already perfectly-mastered hard-techno live, ready to make the walls sweat.

Today, his overboosted sound has found its place on labels such as Fluctuat Rec, KTK, Recollection, or even Stay Up Forever… We can already say that the circle is complete.

Groovy rhythms, frenetic 303’s & rolling basslines, it is quite simply a burning podcast that the frenchman gives us the honor to share through this new episode!

Alors que l’avalanche de superlatifs semble être devenue la norme pour dépeindre la scène techno ces dernières années, on a pourtant bien du mal à ne pas se prêter à ce jeu là pour parler de la musique d’ABLK. Ce projet issu d’un esprit un brin tordu du nord de la France est néanmoins très loin d’une page vide. Musicien et compositeur depuis plus de 10 ans, il est tout d’abord passé par le punk rock et le métal, guitare à la main et pédale sous le pied avant de créer son projet techno il y a un peu plus de 4 ans maintenant.
Également forgé par les sonorités dures de la freeparty, ABLK navigue allègrement dans les eaux troubles de l’acid et produit une musique aux influences décomplexées, largement influencées par les scènes belge et hollandaise. Pas étonnant qu’on retrouve ses productions sur des labels emblématiques de l’acidcore et des sons industriels tels que Obs.cur, Zodiak Commune, Acid Night, ou encore plus récemment, Demain Kollectiv et Tétraèdre Records. Dans un chemin sineux où la techno n’est jamais bien loin de l’univers du hardcore, c’est donc sans prendre de détour et avec le coeur bien accroché qu’on embarque dans l’univers d’ABLK pour ce 35ème podcast de notre série Technopol Mix.

Jacidorex is a producer hailing from Brussels who has taken the rave scene by storm. Active as a drum’n’bass producer he discovered acid music by producers like Mr. Gasmask and Acidolido in late 2013. Obsessed by the typical 303 sound, he soon became one of the exponents of the fresh and strong generation of acid producers in Belgium with likeminded producers.

Next to his passion for acid music he also developed a strong taste for techno, and where techno meets acid(core) comes Neoacid, which he describes as a mixture of all kinds of acid, industrial techno and even dark electro.
