This is a recording of a live mix I did at a memorial/benefit event for the passing of a good friend of mine & an active member of the local DNB scene in Pittsburgh, Michael Morgavo. Michael & I met in high school & both became deeply involved in the local electronic music scene here around the same time. He threw his first set of parties in 2009 & booked me to play. That event was my first real booking out. I've been at it ever since & it has been quite a remarkable journey to say the least. I recognize Mike as being a vital part of that. He will surely be missed..

Though I didn't have very much time to prepare this set, every track in this mix was carefully picked to fit the thoughts & emotions that were weighing heavily on me & Im sure many others in this scene. It ended up turning out pretty well so i decided to upload it for others to enjoy.

Cypher Live @ Codes

Through a tiny tare in the space/time continuum, a constipated alien shat out a beam of gleaming, iridescent light. Within this light contained the encoded dna of Tony Cypher. Tony was placed on earth as a pulsing light fetus, the beckoning of a new age. As he grew, his extra-dimensional roots took on a rhythmic channeling power, more than his earthly mind could ever consciously fathom. 

His influences include the ultrasonic chirping of bats, the wisping of UFOs, and Seth Troxler's bio. However, Tony draws most of his inspiration from underground UK electronic music, experimental sound design & strange paranormal noises.
