Okay, so I must let it be known that I'm no fragile flower..... just sayin'. Sometimes I take an emotion and run with it. This is about the many sides of being in love.... the beauty, the magic, the vulnerability..... feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Solace

Every once in a while, I'll post a song that is not a sappy love song..... this is not one of those times. Maybe next time :) What can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic. This is a new idea I'm playing with, in it's beginning stages. Thanks for listening!

So many struggle with depression and anxiety, it can feel like you're watching the world pass you by from a bubble... unable to reach out and touch anyone, watching life pass by while  worries and fears keep us apart and hold us back. But I think what we fail to realize is that we're not in the bubble alone.

Religion is such a sensitive and intense subject for people. I believe that everyone has their own path. I was raised Catholic, 12 years of Catholic school, I’ve studied the Bible. And Jesus was all about love and non judgement. I am an extremely spiritual person, however, I no longer consider myself Catholic because I don’t believe in dogma. I’m more of a Hindubuddhistian…. that’s right, I might put it on a t-shirt :) Spiritual beliefs from all around the world hold so much beauty, there is much to be gained from openness, from admitting that maybe our way isn’t the only way. I don’t believe that there is a human on earth that “knows”, without a doubt, the exact path the powers that be want each and every one of us to take, except to be kind to one another. 

When I read comments or see interviews with people that hide behind the Bible, that use religion to justify discrimination, judgement and hate, it makes me want to quit the internet. Instead I wrote a song. Hopefully I won’t lose too many friends because of this one, but this is what I believe…. my religion is love, compassion and kindness. I try to practice this every day, to choose love.

I have to send out a special thank you to @James Altucher for inspiring part of this song with his wonderful post a couple of months ago about Jesus.

The hummingbird symbolizes accomplishing that which seems impossible..... I love that. A few times over the past year, when I was feeling particularly low, I'd get a funny visit from one of these little guys and somehow felt better. Happy New Year everyone!

Hey everyone!  I'm predominately a singer songwriter, my style is an intimate acoustic folk. Most of my tracks on here are sketches, in their most raw and vulnerable state. My truths. My therapy.
