About @don-mescal 
Djs for more than 20 years now, can be seen as magician of musical diversity, a character full of energy & love, who has a huge repertoire of songs that will catch your senses and awakens your emotions. Inspired by folkloric multiculturalism, he loves to experiment with the traditions of world music and knows how to transfer it into a modern perspective to brew an electronic-music-elixir with that extra drop of mescal flavor. His unique musical voyage combines a well-selected myriad of styles from Folktronica, Rub-a-Dub, Jungle & Tribal with a joyfully flamboyant vibe.
Furthermore Don Mescal is the co-founder of Cosmovision Records, a new music label and collective created by a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada, based in Montréal, working together in a collaborative and inter-dependent way through a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary artistic platform, believing in the value of different cultures, art and the universe itself.
Mescal has toured around the world over the past years and got crowds dancing in clubs and festivals such as Boomtown (UK),  Chateau Perché (France), Burning Man (USA), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Beat Uwe (Berlin), Piknik Electronik (Canada)...

We completely fell in love with her being and music style at the festival, after she was on our must-book-radar for years.

We are delighted to present the enchanting sounds of Heimlich Knüller's Friday session at Ubuhlanti (made even more magical with a fiery Tankwa Karoo twilight). This musical pearl diver served up a masterful selection of downtempo tunes, crafting a captivating afternoon in our Kraal for his debut at Ubuhlanti--the result being one of the most memorable moments of AfrikaBurn in 2023. Heimlich Knüller - Ubuhlanti Stage at Afrikaburn 2023

On one of those perfect temperature balmy desert Thursday nights, with burns happening all around us, I had the absolute treat of playing at Ubuhlanti / Bridges for Music stage 🔥

Topped off with the tornado burn of the Tree of Stories, it was just the most insane cosmic dreamy night at the burn. Deep gratitude for the magic of life and for spaces where we can come together to connect in unity through music, art and sharing from the heart 🌪️
