The Shapeshift Spaceship universe is transfuturistic. Being at the boundary of states is not an anomaly in this universe, but a starting point.

Shapeshifting is a method of applied radical imagination that, in the manner of afro- and other emancipatory -futurisms, uses the spatiotemporal immensity of the future and intergalactic distances to declare a transfuturistic universe free from conventional gender and taxonomic reasoning.

The central motif of the Shapeshift Spaceship project – emancipation through the transformation of one's own shape – has an age-old parallel in music: it too uses the principle of constant ephemeral change, rhythmed by repetition, to create its own elusively passing beauty with the extraordinary capacity to transform human emotions along with its own change. The possible maximum of this intoxication with music is a state of ecstatic rapture, a transformation directly experienced through the moving body, accompanied with the awareness of the expanded nature of existence as an indivisible continuum of all its interconnected parts.

The compilation is released as an editorial selection curated by Šimon Kadlčák in collaboration with MeetFactory and speedcoretrew.

The project was supported by the Prague City Hall, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Prague 5 and the State Culture Fund.

LITTLEFISH is an emerging artist from Lille (FR) who enriches the local scene with her immersive, hypnotic sound. In her sound design, minimalist rhythms meet unusual and unsettling sounds, immersing the listener in a universe with a distinctive and unique identity. She channels her emotions and feelings through music that is influenced by the sea and its changing moods.

Duniz Sound is characterised by percussive elements, groovy basslines and hypnotic sounds. He has released on a variety of labels, such as Sbert Rec. E-Hrzn, Codein, Naked Lunch Records and many others. With his label Equal, he is always on the lookout for new musical experiences and actively seeks to shape the scene as a producer, DJ and label owner.
On EQUAL009, the individual hypnotic excursions complement each other to form one big journey.
