Chester is a genre-blending track that combines elements of Electronica, Trip-hop, and Alternative Pop. CZUCHWICKI contributes his voice to the lead vocal in a rapped style, which is complemented by Bridget Tarquini on the verses, whose voice has been processed to sound like samples. The music is characterized by electronic textures, creating a dreamy and hypnotic atmosphere while the use of beat programming, electric guitar, and synth further enhances the ethereal mood. Despite its dreamy nature, the track maintains an up-tempo rhythm, exhibiting a sense of fashion and attitude, along with a massive and heavy feel.

CZUCHWICKI, the music producer behind “Hatching”, “Guangzhou” and “Chester (ft. Bridget Tarquini)", is back with a new hypnotic electro track titled “Trouble”.

“Trouble” is a dynamic and captivating song that showcases CZUCHWICKI’s talent and versatility as a producer, blending hip hop beats with industrial electronica. The track features a variety of instrumentation, such as percussions, beat programming, brassy keys and, synthesized bassy, textures. The song also uses different FX, such as compression, reverb and electronic textures, to create a rich and immersive sound.

The mood of the song is elegant and ethereal, dark yet full of emotive nostalgia while maintaining a heavy energy throughout.

"The Devil is the Voice of Reason" is the 5th single from CZUCHWICKI's upcoming Phosphenes EP. The track takes influence from artists such as Gesaffelstein and Meshuggah, blending components of new beat with polyrythmic grooves for a heavy electro-punk vibe. The song has cinematic inclinations , blending elements of sci-fi and fantasy to conjure imagery of a demonic, surrealist hellscape. The composition is also characterized by its electronic textures and foreboding atmosphere, as deep Gregorian chants create a menacing soundscape that is dark yet compelling.

why?

CZUCHWICKI is the musical project of Polish drummer, producer and audiovisual artist Jonty Czuchwicki. CZUCHWICKI grew up in Australia where a generation of his family immigrated after escaping the atrocities of WWII. Here he studied a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance at the Australian College of the Arts in Melbourne where he specialised in Percussion. 

In 2021 CZUCHWICKI released his first 5-track EP entitled Reocurring Dream, and was accepted into the Master of Music Production, Technology and Innovation at Berklee College of Music's Valencia campus in Spain. Commencing the program in 2022, CZUCHWICKI developed an innovative audiovisual live show entitled Phosphenes which blends electronic percussion with controllerism, singing and audioreactive visuals. Always a proponent of rhythmically complex styles, the work contains influences from the left-field electronica, trip-hop and industrial movements. 

Graduating from Berklee in July 2023 CZUCHWICKI will unveil the music from Phosphenes as an EP, releasing a track per month over a six month period beginning on September 13th. As they promote their new live show and EP CZUCHWICKI has also been invited to take part in the Post-Master's Program at Berklee Valencia, where they intend to develop new forms of multimedia works combining immersive visuals, music and spatial audio.
