For this Phantasm 2020-2023 Showcase, Phantasm Records' manager and DJ, Chris KALEIDOR, selects some of the label's biggest tracks from its first three years since relaunching in 2020, spanning Progressive, Full-On, and Twilight.  Chris grew up next door to John Phantasm (and his son, Eskimo), tagging along to early Goa parties in London and working at the legendary Return to the Source. He later began DJing at free parties and clubs across the UK, playing everything from psytrance and techno to electro, DnB, hardcore, and house.  Passionate about Phantasm, he works closely with John to sign new tracks and artists, bringing fresh music to the world.

Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

Now based in sunny Wales after years in Tokyo, Dan (Pixan Recordings) is a psytrance DJ who has played festivals and parties across Japan, Thailand, Goa, and the UK—including One Day in Ozora Tokyo, Goa Cream, the Tribe of Frog stage at Boomtown, and legendary spots like Shiva Valley, Curlies, and Otogi Camp in Japan—not to mention countless underground outdoor parties across the Japanese mountains.

His sets are a trip into deep grooves, squelchy textures, and rolling basslines—engineered to twist minds and move bodies in equal measure. Known for transforming dancefloors into kaleidoscopic vortexes of energy, Dan brings a distinctively Welsh sense of chaos and colour to the global psytrance scene.

A true shapeshifter behind the decks, he delivers wherever he plays—whether it’s a hidden beach party in Thailand, a packed Tokyo club, or a festival field under the stars. In 2022 he released the compilation Super Spreaders on Pixan Recordings, cementing his reputation as a forward-thinking force in the scene.
