This is a track that I played slap bass on for a British R&B artist named Haydon. When the final record came out this song had completely changed. The entire groove had been changed to be more of an old school thing. Will Lee played bass on the final version.

Another song by Nashville's Lisa Scott. I have just found a copy of some of the tracks that we cut for her record. Chris produced and played guitar and I played bass (either fretless or 5-string depending on the tune). Lisa has a unique songwriting style and is a fine guitarist herself.

Kate Bradshaw - Losing My Faith

This is the studio version of “Fighting the Hood” by the Outriders. The Hood is obviously the KKK. This is a story song and details the events that took place in 1955 involving young Emmett Louis Till. While visiting relatives in Mississippi, this young black Chicagoan, not understanding the profundity of racism there, accepted a dare to address an attractive white woman in a grocery store. He went in, bought some candy, and on the way out allegedly said "bye, baby." One observer claimed he had only whistled at her. A couple of days later, the woman's husband and his brother-in-law took him from the home he was visiting and drove him to the Tallahatchie River where they made him strip, beat him, gouged out one of his eyes and shot him in the head. They threw his body, with a 75 lb. fan attached, into the river.
Many historians feel he inadvertently started the American civil rights movement. The level of ignorance and hatred that lead to this act should never be forgotten.
