I constantly want to improve myself in all aspects which I think is a good thing but it can also be very exhausting, because that means that I think a lot about my actions and my opinions and tread very carefully when it comes to almost everything. This song is a representation of that constant battle of just wanting to exist and be able to relax without worrying about every action, but also wanting to be perfect and not be morally or ethically wrong. I present this struggle through two characters, JAY and Johan. Throughout the song JAY points out my flaws and wants me to accept that they exist, and accept that I can never be perfect, which is why I need to stop trying to be and let loose. Meanwhile Johan expresses why I want to be the perfect version of myself and why it is a good thing, because reflecting on my past, I now see a version of myself that I like a lot more because of this mindset. Ultimately at the end, Johan reveals that he is well-aware that being solely a perfection seeking person will lead to a boring, eggshell walking and comfort life and therefore knocks out JAY, kidnaps him so he can merge them and be a person who tries to improve but also allows himself to be flawed, letting loose in life and living a more genuine and honest life.
