"Panic State" is the latest work of Puerto Rico based melodic punk (with horns) band, D-CENT JERKS. This collection of four songs was produced by punk-rock music producer Jamie McMann (Swingin' Utters, One Man Army, Tony Sly, NOFX, Lagwagon, etc.). These songs will also soon be part of a full length record the band is currently working on and planning to release by late summer 2014. D-CENT JERKS consists of Mike Mulet (vocals, guitar), Paul Ryan (bass), Samo Martines (drums), Dano Melendez (trombone), José Bartolo (guitar), Harold Isaac Gonzalez (trumpet). DCJ has recorded and released 3 EP's plus a few singles and have toured the US a few times promoting their brand of high energy punk rock. DCJ has also released a few music videos (available for viewing on YouTube) to accompany their releases. Local support in Puerto Rico has been very strong and consistently growing over these last few years.

Though in the early days DCJ was not nearly as focused and well oiled as they have become in recent years, the band has actually been together since 1998 and most of the guys are now in their early 30's. Not the most productive early years some might say, but this group of close friends has managed to stay together and over time polish their sound into its current (and strongest yet) incarnation. DCJ fuels their momentum by creating a unique blend of melodic punk rock with intricate horn melodies, not to mention insanely energetic live performances (which they are best known by their supporters for). D-Cent Jerks definitely shows zero signs of slowing down anytime soon.
