The name DIA is gradually becoming a household name for hip-hop lovers in Northern Nigeria. Born Didam Iliya Ajeye but popularly know as D.I.A ( Didam Is Amazing) is an award winning rapper/Producer born and bred in Zaria, Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria. Having know that, It is easy to say background has nothing to do with how great one turns out or will turn out to be.
D.I.A's unique style of music can only be likened with rappers like Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, kanye West, Common sense and may be J-cole too all of whom have influenced his style. He possesses this versatility and lyrical prowess that allows him paint pictures, tell stories, entertain and at the same time educate or inspire his listeners. Having released couple of music compilations in years passed, he doesn't intend to slow down yet as he has an EP he is currently working on which is set to be released this year. The right genre to place his style of music could be tagged
(socio-conscious rap) as he doesn't often partake in the conventional kind of rap the world is used to but rather he addresses social issues in entertaining ways with a very aberrant flow and great command of words.
