Our next mix comes from our recent guest from our Mad Friday party last year, @alexredmond. He takes on The Nomadic stage at Belfast’s @avafestival. Expect hard hitting house, trance and techno 🚀

Here’s what he said about the festival and his mix:

“Having been to the last two instalment’s of AVA, I can confidently say it has one of the best atmospheres I have experienced at a festival. The crowd are there for the music and do not stop dancing throughout the weekend. This creates a willingness for the artists to push themselves and put on a show.

Each stage has its own character and style, but my favourite stage has to be the famous boiler room stage which was called the Nomadic at last year's instalment. What makes this stage special is its ability to take complete control of the crowd at any time of the day. The scintillating pace of the music at this stage always has me at full tilt.

There can be a wide variety of music at this stage throughout the weekend, butt what makes it special for me is the Electronic and Techno music. With that being said I have put together a mix that best describes my experience of the Nomadic stage. It consists of songs I have heard there and would like to hear there in the future.”

I started D.J.work as a mobile Disc Jockey back in 1988, although my love of music started at a young age in 1974, building a collection of Rock n Roll records moving into Rock and Prog Rock in the early 1980s by the time that the  Electronic Music and the Synth revolution came along c/w 12"Vinyl I was already hooked building the collection was becoming expensive so D.J.work helped fund the addiction.after a whirlwind career Pirate Radio beckoned and before I knew it my career as Engineer took a 14 year hiatus.Working in Nightclubs as a Professional D.J.all over the N.W.of England took centre stage then came house .
After a visit to the land of Oz with Paul Oakenfold on the decks the world would never be the same .Imagine a Tuesday night in a club packed to capacity sweat literally pouring from the pores of the club walls and the crowd ecstatic as God dropped monster tune after another .....then on returning north the mobile sl1200s were now on a mission the sound system was fortified and the charlie pope roadshow complete with a laser lightshow and booming p.a.went into overdrive after booking k.klass to guest at an illegal rave in Neston we hit paydirt at the  roller quay in Seacombe several illegal raves ensued they were legendary the last on attended by approx 5000 happy ravers dancing until dawn .
