It's with great enthusiasm that we announce, for the start of our podcast, the return of Ricardo Nascimento, who, after a period of hiatus, has just adopted a new alter ego: Sir Richard. 

His unwavering commitment to the art of mixing and his technical skill have manifested themselves in long hours of dedication behind the scenes, where constantly perfecting his craft has been his priority.

Although Sir Richard has built most of his career in the comfort of his private studio, he has had the unique opportunity to perform live in the past, a moment that has profoundly marked his artistic journey. 

Now, about to embark on a new phase, he has already booked some dates, the result of recognition from Elements.

His musical style is dominated by the enveloping sounds of house music, with a special predilection for melodic and organic rhythms, often enriched by Afro influences, thus creating a deeply captivating sound.

This is how JOÄO presents himself, an alter ego created in 2023, which is basically like an album with A and B sides: on the one hand, the lightness of melody and song, harmony and light... on the other, visceral restlessness, which feeds on strong, heavy beats, complexity and the discovery of new sounds.

Private Living Room #5 (Apr 2024) - JOÄO

Mário Viktor, the disc jockey, is an echo of the primordial rhythm called Rocks. His youth, spent in the shadow of this iconic club, witnessing performances by nearly all the emblematic names of an emerging global dance scene, awakened his musically sensitive creative mind.

In his dreams, he dared to be a DJ, and the image materialized, passion became the compass of his life. He grew up, married, changed jobs and cities, but the turntables, the vinyl collection, the mixer, and the CDJs remained. Music, like a primordial mission, is a constant that gives meaning to his path.

In nearly three decades of musical journey, he has shared his technique and refined taste in booths from north to south, leaving his mark in renowned spaces and events.

A resident of Coimbra for about 20 years, it is in this city that his presence is most strongly felt, having collaborated over this time with emblematic projects such as Extra and Elements, of which he is currently one of the residents.

His musical eclecticism allows him to navigate through different styles, but it is in the deeper sounds full of swing that he reveals his musical soul. His DJ sets are sensory journeys, guiding dancefloors through enveloping and hypnotic soundscapes, where music is transformed into an immersive and emotional experience.
