Grand Eugène is an indie-rock band with a Dream-Pop sound. The band is composed of Jeremy Lachance on guitar and composition, Melyssa Lemieux on vocals, Olivier Tanguay on drums, Nassim Dib-Mudie on keyboards and Greg Tremblay-Meadors on bass.

The band was born in Vancouver, where the guitarist began writing the first compositions. These sketches were then e-mailed from British Columbia to Quebec, where the other members of the band reside. It was in Montreal that the songs finally came to life. The Canadian influence remains noticeable, however; even though the lyrics are in French, the music resonates with both the English and French communities.

Recorded in part in a shed in Saint-Hugues and in a room above a bar on Le Plateau, the project is a testament to their DIY aesthetic and their willingness to explore unconventional recording techniques. The result is a raw and authentic body of work.

On stage, Grand Eugène's music makes you dance and move. The band draws its influences from many artists such as Men I Trust, La Femme and Mild High Club, but manages to infuse its music with a unique touch.
