Recently initiated into the Lola ED crew, the Romanian trio Premiesku (Livio, Roby and George G), step up with an exceptional 3-track EP for the Apollonia label.

Defining what it is to be a ‘real’ live act, Premiesku describe themselves as a techno band. On realising their gear wasn’t living up to expectations, there was nothing else for it but to rip it apart! Rebuilding, reconnecting, re-casing, a very personalised and totally unique setup was born. Now armed with extra capabilities and an additional excitement to experiment, Premiesku combines live rhythm sections with synths and FX, all without a computer in sight… it’s no surprise then that Fabric, Amnesia and Electrosanne are the calibre of performances to look forward to. Working with this original setup of customised hardware and known to love a good old jam session, More 4 EP is a reflection of their movement through three distinct moods during one such studio lock-in. Each track fitting for a particular moment in the party, they have already been tried and tested many times within the Apollonia b2b2b sets this summer. Title track More 4 has a genuine old skool techno feel about it. On a mission to command and destroy the main room, it builds up and up, sucking you in with a softly sung female vocal and smooth synths. Instantly uplifting, REAL’s light and bouncy percussion is full of swing and groove. The rolling effect combined with a phat bass underneath, perfectly providing the depth, makes this more than enticing to move to. To round off the EP, Premiesku lay down the Romanian touch. A fierce bassline, signature glitches and infectious tribal beats… the melodic minimal of Despre ei makes this an expertly crafted example of their deeper side.

Different Is Different Records is astonishingly proud of presenting the Berlin-London based, Korean-Japanese artist Red Pig Flower. She's one of the producers to be showcased in our upcoming 'Female Pressure' compilation. With a major in fine artis, the asian lady is an integral artist, with many ongoing projects spanning from music, to photography with painting and everything in between. An authentic entertainer.

Her debut track is based on the 'Secret Spell' that, until now, had been securely kept for hundreds of years by the linage of the Blue Blood Alchemists, which was exterminated by unknown mercenaries in the early 1900's. 

If a correct intonation and pronunciation was achieved while reciting the 'Secret Spell', the molecules present in the air would be excited in a specific way, while the alchemical process took place. When the correct sequence of a set of frequencies were to be reproduced with a special cadence and in a defined amount of time; not only the metal's composition would be altered, but the atoms in the white-hot iron would self-reorganize into gold's atomic structure, effectively completing the process known as alchemy.*

Directly from Russia we are pleased to have Artur Nikolaev on the remix duties. This time the Russian minimal techno wonder-kid steps out of his usual sound to enter a heavier groove exploration, while keeping an overall atmospheric hypnoticness. Exquisite.

We’re extremely proud to deliver the latest release from co-founder Red Pig Flower, The ‘Thought Crime’ EP, backed with a remix from Perlon trio Wareika. The project is conceptually based around George Orwell’s classic novel, 1984.

The original mix of 'Thought Crime' opens the package with murky atmospheric textures, skippy hat patterns and shuffled organic drums grooves driving the composition before the focal stages see the introduction of eerie piano chords, spoken word vocal samples and acid tinged bass which ebbs and flows within the depths. 'No Fear’ follows next, laying focus on a bumpy drum groove, modulating synth swells, ethereal tension building pads and a snaking sub bass groove to create a dynamically unfolding, hypnotic cut.

Perlon’s Wareika step up to rework 'Thought Crime' opens the flip-side, as always from this trio shining light on chuggy bass grooves and jazz tinged ever-unfolding drums whilst stirring in the original’s eerie voices and choppy pianos to create a frenzied, dynamic feel throughout. 'Since 1984’ next to round out the release, an interlude of sorts featuring a bubbling arpeggio, dreamy piano melodies and an amalgamation of swirling, dubbed out echoes spiralling amongst muted kicks.

Album "Lucky Fish" consists of three different vinyls full of killer grooves: between smooth deep house and techy bangers, cooked in unique iO (Mulen) style. These cuts were tested on dance floors around the world for a long time, so now we have no doubt that all of them are lethal weapons for any set.
