This was something I decided to do just for fun, as it seemed like a good way to break in some of the new gear and simultaneously make sure all of the old gear was still working. :P

This is a cover of the iconic theme song to a long-forgotten television series hosted by William Shatner, "Rescue 911," done in a Synthwave reminiscent style. Originally composed by Scott Roewe, all copyrights are still held by their respective legal parties, and "Rescue 911" is a registered trademark.

The third single from SENTINEL, "Hell's Highway" narrates the fast-paced drive through the surreal, dark, imagined landscape of 1985, cast aglow with a driving disco beat, set against a Moog-laden backdrop, replete with strings and slap bass.

Hell's Highway

I took a break from SENTINEL for a couple of days to spin the opening title music from the iOS game HORIZON CHASE into a pumping darkwave track. The game's composer, Barry Leitch, is a veteran of video game soundtracks, and was one of my earliest musical inspirations.  This is an official submission for the Horizon Chase remix contest.

The Apology

Electronic producer d.notive has been at the forefront innovative sound design for well over a decade. Entranced by the lush and dynamic soundscapes of the 1980's, his aesthetic borrows heavily from the cinematic imagery of Neo-noir, classic alternative music, and of course synthpop.

Leveraging a rich, illustrious backdrop of classic synthesizers, his work includes countless pop songs and dance tracks, video game soundtracks, cartoon fan music, and film scores, drawing comparisons to artists like Depeche Mode, New Order, and Duran Duran.

His critically acclaimed album Sentinel has enjoyed consistent rotation thanks to synthwave outlets like NewRetroWave, with the first single "Red Light Syndrome" debuting at the #7 spot on their weekly charts.
