PFG, Happy Birthday! As is customary when our birthday comes around, we love to give something back to our members, and this year is no different. We are used to hearing world class DJ's delivering sets by now, so for our birthday we had to raise the bar. We haven't done too badly even if we do say so ourselves! 

Ladies & Gent's delivering a near four hour mix, please give it up for the legendary Kasey Taylor!

One of the most loved names on the Australian dance music scene, Kasey Taylor made his mark in his hometown of Melbourne, prompting John Digweed to scout him in the mid-nineties to play at his infamous Bedrock night in London. That was the catalyst for Taylor to take his sound to a global audience, leading to international exposure and a permanent move to Europe to satiate the demands of his worldwide bookings. 

Currently, he is the creative power behind no less than 3 Record Labels. This includes the highly revered Vapour Recordings, the 24-year old mainstay which is over 150 releases deep, and the off-shoot imprint eVapour8, which topped the Beatport charts at number 1 for 8 weeks with its very first release. The most recent addition to his portfolio is Lo-Fi 45, which has seen Kasey take on a mentor role to use his years of experience to identify, sign and nurture local Australian talent.

More recently Kasey is going through a resurgence, not only is he experiencing a personal and creative renaissance, but he has just completed a rebranding across the board. Vapour Recordings has gone through a massive revamp which will include a new online portal, merchandise and more. This will also coincide with a release roster of new music that is already creating excitement with some of the scene’s biggest players, and some of which can be heard in this mix! 

"We’ve had Covid, we’ve had bushfires, we’ve had the lot, but we can now reset, look to the future" says Kasey, a future thats set for one of Australia’s most popular dance music artists to introduce himself to a brand new generation of dance music connoisseurs, and re-introduce him to his loyal followers.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the midweek bump that is the PFG Progcast! Every week, we take you to the hottest dance floors in the world, searching for the best progressive sounds around! 

This week we've conquered another new country, as Switzerland beckons! We are at the home of an artist whose currently in a rich vein of form, PFG make some noise for the brilliant BYNOMIC! 

Patrick Sunna (AKA Bynomic) was first captivated by electronic music in the 1990’s. When this newly emerging scene started to grow in Switzerland, he became fascinated by the DJ’s and stood next to them and the decks at events. These DJ’s, like Sven Väth and latterly Tiesto (whose ‘Search of Sunrise’ series) and Das Boot’s ‘U96’  (the first CD he bought in school) made Patrick fall madly in love with electronic music.

Although the idea of creating his own music has lived with him for years, it was just five years ago that Patrick released his first track, “Destiny” on ‘Estibo Records’ 

Amazed by the success when it pushed into the labels top ten, Patrick marched on and has since had releases on elite marques like Soundteller, 3rd Avenue, Future Avenue, Mango Alley and Superordinate to name a few.

Lets not forget, Patrick runs his own esteemed label ‘Another Life Music’ a project he is currently spending a lot of time on. Forthcoming here, a new EP called ‘Moonfall’ will be released this month.

On top of his productions, Bynomic's DJ career has also born fruit. For over 20 years, he has been playing at the world’s largest electronic music festival - The Street Parade in Zurich. During the summer he likes to play at festivals like this, boat parties and smaller family themed events, finding himself comfortable enough to play where he wants to.

For the future, look out for more productions and remixes, as the realization of his ideas gains further momentum, the future looks bright for Bynomic!

Since first appearing together on the progressive house scene back in 2008 on their Mistique Music label, Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's productions have evolved immensely. Although still widely regarded for their signature sound, more than ever the trio explores a variety of stylistic blueprints, often cross pollinating genres with an effortless ease. Besting yourself with each successive outing is no easy task but Michael, Levan and Stiven seem to find a way to continually push the creative envelope and always looking to diversify portfolio.
