GMJ aka Gavin Martin from Melbourne Australia is a producer with an innate passion for deep emotive electronic music. The GMJ project focuses on deep rhythms and spatial textures, always with an ear on forward-thinking sonics, representing an outward reflection of inner states. Born of a passion and love for music that moves and awakens the senses, the GMJ project is constantly evolving and reshaping itself into the new.

"Deep synth lines, driving bass and pulsating rhythms are all part of Matter’s captivating signature style." From humble beginnings as a DJ performing in the clubs of Melbourne and London, Matter now finds himself spending his time carefully sculpting new audio landscapes in his studio. His vision is a simple but profound one, with his music he aims to take each and every listener on a spontaneous and inspiring journey. As a live act Matter brings his own unique energy, engaging the crowd and shaping each performance into its own distinct experience. 

Melbourne’s GMJ (Gavin Martin) and Matter (Matty Doyle) joined forces in late 2015, a triggered recognition and magnetism for their shared perspectives and love for deep atmospheric music leading to the formation of the GMJ & Matter collaboration. Over the next 6 years a natural synergy and seamless understanding has seen works constantly flow with remixes for Pole Folder, Juan Deminicis, Nopi, Donny Car & Zankee Gulati amongst a raft of original works on seminal labels including Balance Music, Jee productions, Proton Music, Mango Alley & onedotsixtwo. Studio success has translated into demand from a constantly growing number of respected festivals and clubs both locally and abroad, highlighted by a European Tour in 2019 with gigs for Progressive Astronaut in London and Replug Records 10th anniversary at ADE in Amsterdam. Joining forces in 2020 with Morning After Agency saw an acceleration and springboard of growth toward headlining gigs both locally and on a global scale. The same year set the stage for the conception and constant growth of the pair's “Meanwhile Recordings” imprint, which opened to high regard throughout the industry, both as a platform for their own signature sounds and as a home to some of the world’s finest. With support from heavyweights including Guy J, Nick Warren & Hernan Cattaneo, among others, and with many amazing artists and releases on the horizon, Meanwhile has established itself firmly as a top 10 global label in progressive house. We welcome Julieta Kühnle for the eighty-fifth edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series.

Based in Rosario, Argentina, Julieta Kühnle has established herself as a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, combining energetic progression with melodic passion to craft a compelling musical experience that deeply connects with her audience. Julieta's passion for music was evident from an early age, by 16, she became a resident at several local clubs leading her to develop a rich and diverse musical repertoire that has become the cornerstone of her craft.

Her dynamic performances at iconic venues like Metropolitano in Rosario and Dahaus! in Córdoba showcase her ability to adapt and connect with diverse audiences, delivering special and unique sets. Reflecting on her musical journey, Julieta recalls her early fascination with electro-pop and electronic genres, fueled by hours spent watching music channels like MTV and Much Music. In her sets, Julieta crafts an experience that blends energetic and progressive music, often incorporating house and techno elements. "I like the more melodic styles and also some vocals," she explains, emphasizing her preference for a sound that is both dynamic and introspective. A defining moment in Julieta's career was her performance at La Fábrica in Córdoba in 2002, where she shared the stage with Juan Hansen and Yotto. Another milestone was her 2023 performance at Metropolitano in Rosario, where she played alongside Khen and Eelke Kleijn. "It was very special because my mother and all my friends were present," she says, highlighting the personal significance of the event.

She has released on some prominent labels like Hoomidaas Records, Mango Alley, Clubsonica Records and AH Digital to name a few. Julieta draws inspiration from a wide array of artists, with Hernan Cattaneo being a particularly influential figure in her career. She also finds inspiration in the work of her colleagues and friends from the Argentine scene like Kabi (Ar), Agustin Ficarra, Cocho, Polo (Ar), Rocio Portillo and Paula OS. Looking ahead, Julieta is excited about her upcoming projects, including a remix for Michael A set to release in June, where she shares the EP with Alex O'Rion. In this mix, delivering something unique for us, Julieta invites listeners to immerse themselves in a set that blends house tones with melodic elements, maintaining a rhythmic 120 BPM ideal for travel. With each beat and melody, Julieta Kühnle continues to craft a timeless sound, transcending trends and resonating with listeners around the world. Enjoy the mix!

Now, fresh off a remix for Get Physical's organic offshoot Kindisch, Nicolas adds Clubsonica to his resume with a groovy rendition of 'Unfaithful'.

With fear and uncertainty artists struggle to adapt to such stressful situation and I guess isolation can have few positive effects - we're getting deeper into what we do best - our art. And we're hopeful - that things will get back to where they were. There's hope. This is my little contribution - hoping you will feel a bit better.
