"This time I present to you a colorful space trip, which brings you the best cosmic and psychedelic gems from the 70s and 80s," says Martijn Soetens. "I dug as deep as possible in the crates and searched for all kinds of genres: Pop, Rock, Soul, Folk, Funk, Jazz, New-Age, Fusion and AOR. Cosmic Grooves: A Trip Around The Planets by Martijn Soetens

Spanish producer extraordinaire Rayko has been a leading light in the disco scene since 2008, the year he launched his magnificent Rare Wiri imprint. Since then, his name has appeared on literally more than 50 great vinyl records scattered across labels like Eskimo, Is It Balearic? Whiskey Disco, Lumberjacks In Hell and Editorial.

Deeply rooted in the '70s and '80s disco, funk, boogie and rock, Rayko's influences are masterfully interpreted and transformed into modern-day dancefloor bombs. His mind-blowing edit of Candi Staton's 'Broadway' came in at number 1 in Juno's best of 2011 disco chart, and it’s still nowadays the Juno Download all-time bestseller (all genres), proving he's right at the crest of the disco edit wave.

But his talents don't stop there. He's also delved into original productions, with his second studio album released in 2017 at Nang, one of the finest Nu Disco London-based labels, and remixes, being asked to lend his skilled hand to tracks by Psychemagik, Ajello, Inflagranti and DJ Rocca, to name a few...

As a DJ, he's been shipped over to the USA, Africa, Asia, South and North America and all over Europe, and his global influence is quite obviously illustrated by his massive numbers on SoundCloud, with more than 35k followers and 5 million plays.

As the months go on and his catalogue expands, Rayko is rapidly becoming one of the most loved names in modern-day disco.

Functional systems may be innate—that is, reflecting the experience of the species, and acquired, resulting from individual experience. But in both cases, tens and hundreds of millions of cells from different parts of the brain and the whole body must correctly assemble into such a system. This process is called systemogenesis, and how such complex integrations arise in evolution, how the body solves this problem in its embryonic development as well as in behavior and learning is described by a special branch of the theory of functional systems—the theory of systemogenesis. It solves the question of how something rational naturally arises from something irrational.

Sensory abilities of humans and bats are different. The latter have ultrasonic sonar that helps orientate in space. Let's suppose we learned everything about its nature. But do we know what the bat’s conscious experience is, “what is it like to be a bat?” Intuition tells you no. And this means that even the most ideal materialistic explanation leaves out special facts—the facts of consciousness, "what it is like to be those who we are." It is for this reason that consciousness is so mysterious, it is an abnormal phenomenon for natural science.

This title refers to apocalyptic ideas about the end of time when the time of humanity expires, and its history ends. But this is not about the Last Judgment and the second advent but about the technogenic end of time. It can be either catastrophic or positive—it can start a new era. Technological singularity is thought to be such a limit, as a result of which artificial superintelligence will appear, the goals of which will be unknown to us, and control over which is impossible. The history of mankind will end as soon as we have to negotiate not with people but with machines, as soon as, perhaps, nothing remains of a biological human. But everything can end earlier and more prosaically—from a nuclear disaster. In this sense, the latter invention has already been completed.
